Hey! Because I'm crazy, I've decided to try and make 72 x 72 characters for an RPG Maker MV project (the tileset itself will remain at 48 x 48 FWIW). The problem is that I can't shade for crap in this perspective, and I have a hard time figuring out if the proportions look alright or look weird.
For example, here is the main character: ![]() And here is a blank male template that I'm really struggling with: ![]() I'm trying to go for like a top-down-ish lighting scheme like in Breath of Fire 4. But obviously the proportions and size of the characters are very different. So I'd like some advice on how to properly shade these kinds of characters. Drawovers would be appreciated if you can! Thanks. |
