CHALLENGE: Happy News Year

Have you ever wondered where news icons come from? Whenever a news post (other than these standard weekly challenge posts) gets posted, it's given an icon pulled from the works in the pixeljoint gallery. You can even click the icon to see the artists gallery!

The only requirement is that the piece is exactly 50x50 pixels big. Since it's an unusal size, there are only so many works to pull from, so here is your chance to have your work featured on a future newspost!

Your challenge is to create an icon that can be used for future news posts. Choose one of the following themes:

• Monthly top art
• Top Commenter & Faves
• Palette contest
• ISO Collab
• Group picture/ other collab project
• Pixelween
• Secret Santa
• Generic Anouncement

It is up to you to interpret the theme however you wish. Just remember to give your entry a relevant title so the mods can find it when searching for icons!

Canvas size: Exactly 50x50.

Colours: Max 32.

Transparency: Encoraged, but optional.

Animation: Optional.

CHALLENGE RULES

• Participants have until this upcoming Sunday at midnight (12AM Pacific) to submit their entry (strict). Don't forget to check the 'Submit to weekly challenge' checkbox.
• Only new pixels allowed.
• Open to all members.
• Posting WIPs in this thread or in new threads in the WIP section is highly encouraged, but ONLY SUBMIT YOUR FINAL ART.

CHALLENGE JUDGING

• Every Sunday at midnight (12AM Pacific) the previous week's entries are judged.
• Every week a new voting poll will be posted for previous week's entries.
• Winner announced the following week.

CHALLENGE PRIZES/GOODIES

• Top three finishers will receive an award displayed in your PJ gallery profile for all to see and envy.
• Top finisher gets to suggest a future week's challenge. If you're a winner and you wish to submit your idea, send a message to Gecimen.
• 'Participation' ribbons will be given for all who enter.
• No matter what happens you get challenged :)
