EDIT: Finished it! Going to submit.

BIG EDIT:

I changed it up and did it gameboy style.

I like so far. But I do think the forms could use a little work. I was wondering if I should diverge that much from the gameboy color pallate and if you guys had the pallate specifically. Mostly I've just been doing it by looking at screenshots as far as colors go. I'd like to know all the colors available for gameboy.

Anyways, hope this provides more for critique.

As far as I know gameboy has 4 colours in its palette. Apprently this piece uses the proper palette, so maybe pinch the colours from that. Oh sorry, I just read that you said "gameboy colour", so I guess ignore this, lol.

As for your piece, got some jagginess happening! Some AA is in order, I reckon. The gaps in between their legs are missing some lines from the background.

I think the pose of Jigsaw is a little...bland. Try spicing it up with a more energetic/chaotic pose...unless that pose suits the character, I don't know.
And yeah, the foreground ground is bland, also, just add details, and make it not absolutely flat like that.

Looking forward to seeing how this comes along

No no, I'm not doing it in Gameboy color pallate so... your pallate helped. :D

As far as Jigsaw... the doll isn't actually Jigsaw himself, it's just the "Saw" doll and it never really does anything so... there's no action pose I think I should put it in.

thanks for your crits!

here's an update.

Nice progress on the style and coloring so far. I don't feel any 'action' going on. Don't know what would help tho :/

I don't like the brick at all.
It really ruins the peice, it's too repetitive.

Also, isn't jigsaw like a dieing old guy?
Here he looks like he's in his 30's

The doll here isn't actually Jigsaw, as I said. It's the Saw doll but... it doesn't have a name so I called it Jigsaw.

I didn't entirely like the brick. What do you suggest I do instead?

For the bricks you could delete the darkest outlining color to mute it down some then add some vines to break the box.

I'd say make the bricks larger, to avoid so much repetition and give more neutral space (the color of the brick more than the outline of the brick) to hopefully bring down the distraction it's causing.

I love the fact you're using GB colours and you really can't go wrong with Chucky... always a fave.

I think you could take a bit more time in perfecting both of their poses though as the dude on the right is just standing there doing nothing and Chucky looks like he has a sore neck. I'd tilt his head forward to face his opponent a bit more. Also, Chucky's hair is pretty reddish so I'd suggest going with a lighter shade in there. Give him some better definition in the overalls as well. Just a thought.

This almost reminds me of a RCR scene with the background and all. I lok forward to your updates :)

Well.. the dude on the right is just a doll, he doesn't move so it's sort of... out of character to put him into a pose. Maybe I could put him riding a tricycle like he does. I dunno, my weeks really busy, got play time this weekend.

As far as chucky. I'd love to redo the head. it's pretty sucktacular right now... so I'll definately work on it.
