   I haven't placed any pixels for 1 or 2 months now, so I thought i'd start a new project. I found out im still not good at lighting.  Anyway the dudes 'n girls at Pixelation also helped, so ill just put my latest version here.

	This may come off as rude, but I'm just wondering. In the time when you didn't pixel, did you practice any other type of media?

	Lol not really, was VERY busy for school because we had a lot of deadlines and also the days off kinda turned out in parties Anyway I did made some good drawings (mainly to improve my dynamic poses) but I didnt really looked at em while sketching this one Shame Shame I still make a lot of these mistakes... will have to remind meself when starting ANY new project

	What animal is it suppose to be? The feet look a little off, try making them more realistic. And aren't furries suppose to have fingers? Looks good anyways :P.

	Use it as you wish, but DUDE why did you choose the WORST example??? I mean im no good at this thats why im in these forums! Anyway your version is much better... but plz take a look at my new version (above your post) because that one is better than the one you used :P (Edit: I REALLY like your version! had to be said!) 	Just... a question.. what's with the stinky cloud of doom? It loos like she's wafting in a fart cloud or something.. unless she's really a sunk in denial, I think the smoke could use a color change.

	MAybe your right... Didnt think of a fart cloud, thanks for that idea XD Anyway was meant as a poison cloud to give her a more deadly touch... but since you thinks its a fart maybe blue or pink is better :P

	I think the cloud would look much better in pink or maybe light blue. also, in the newest edit the eye look to evil :p

You really can't be surprized that after a month or two of doing nothing, you wouldn't get any better. Practice is what people were advising, time off to study others' works and techniques, and to really look at things and gain a better understanding of how light and textures work. If anything, taking a break from pixel art and not replacing it with rigorous practice of sketching/drawing only set you back. It takes a lot more work and effort to improve your skills. And, hey, if you spent say.. 6 months doing some of these "dynamic" drawings, maybe.. but after only a few weeks, did you really expect to be any more skilled?

	leel was not being negative, she was speaking the truth, and did so in a polite and POSITIVE matter. you haven't been an active member long enough to say she is negative all the time either, she is very helpful to everyone. i would say you not only should practice your drawing skills, but the way you perceive comments and criticisms from others. i saw nothing but positive advice that is actually helpful from everyone in this thread.

	Yeah your right... Didnt mean it like that, should have probably looked for better words than negative because she is a good help indeed :) Just felt it was a little harsh at first but after reading it once or twice more it really helped... Sorry Leel!!!!!

	SWOOSH! Ens to the rescue!! hehe If it's any consolation, that edit there is an improvement. Though I'd still suggest you study closely how Tillimann edited her limbs - notice how the thighs are fuller and knees + anckles are a bit thinner etc. You've done that in your edit, but imo you should take it further in defining the muscles. Not to say you should make her ripped and 100% from an anatomy book, but I think less 'gummy' shaped limbs will do her much good.

	yes yes, what 9_6 said with that sketch is what I'm asking you to pay more attention to. His is also a very good reference - see how curvy the leg is below the knee? and how her butt is curved, also. In your version she's much flatter.

	the thing around her now looks more like cloth - which is odd, because she's not even holding it. Why don't you focus on the .. whatever she is, first, before doing too much to the background. As for the limbs, I dont see any difference in this update at all I dont really know why i bothered editing, since I basically showed the same thing 9_6 did, only much scrappier and quicker. But .. i dunno, maybe that'll help emphasize it. actually, now that i look at it, shes slightly unbalanced. Move her front leg to the left a little more. or else she'll fall over! :o Edited by leel - 25 February 2007 at 5:11pm

	Hey Leel, thanks :) Ill have another look at hir limbs to try to improve that, but im not sure about that unbalanced thing... This pose should be a pause in the middle of a dance so a little leaning forward is normal. Though I have to admit it looks strange if you look at it as a non-moving image... Maybe ill change that after all but its 7 am now XD got to go Oh and by the way it is cloth now :P forgot to mention that :) But your right she is got to hold it with her upper hand...
