Interesting looking skull... I like the looking up perspective. Might want to establish a strong light source so it doesn't look quite so mirrored.

the light source is from the front, which is why it looks sort of mirrored, the blades are actually sort of poking forwards, thats why both edges have highlights.

up the contrast and throw in a hint of a blueish purlpish color

i like it altho you could cut off a lot of colors.. seems a bit blurry to me.

would make a great Gui Design element :D

You can make it look more metallic by having less gradual shading, unless you are going for a lead-like metal. I think it looks quite good.

It's good, but it would be cool to see the glow from the eyes shine onto the outer parts of the eye sockets.
