I might join this one, not sure.
Something like a mirror box would be cool. You will see yourself with camera 4 times ![]() ![]() or, (only it doesnt comply to the challenge rules) you make the panorama circle shaped to make i vanishing point in the middle... (i hope you understand what i mean)...? (Edit: i wanna make the last one, but since it doesnt comply... i should make 2 ![]() Edit2: I think im going for a panorama and put them above each other (so you get ground, air and then more ground... There are some examples on 360 degrees panorama photos on flickr:
http://flickr.com/search/?q=360+panorama Check out the syndey 360 image if you want to have a bridge between the previous challenge and this one ![]() There are even some java/flash tools on the web you can use to have a view of panorama pictures by moving the mouse so that you get a tour .... Best regards from M.E. |

Nice, this one should be fun! I was wondering, are we allowed to toss a few characters in, or is the point to do just scenery? Ive got a few ideas that would be all the more fun with some humanesque folks in the mix.

Damn, I hope I get enough time to submit an entry for this. I've always wanted to make a little panoramic scene.

![]() ive been toying with entering this challenge. not sure if Ill come close to finishing, but since no one else has put up a wip here's mine. i wanted to go with a buddhist/tibetan style landscape. im running out of colors and the scale and shape of the canvas are bugging the f@#k out of me. |

I know if the rules don't disallow something it's considered okay, but is there a minimum ratio of width to height to have in order for something to be considered "panoramic"? Or is it just the matching ends that make it so?

But your current canvas size is fine... 640x120 is the maximum size allowed, and that's what you have.

Ooh, I like the perspective of that Pnaky. I was thinking of something similar with a David Hockney scattered picture feel to it.
@Klav: It'll be interesting to see how you stretch the 16 colors in that scene. @MashPotato: I don't know what ratio is considered panoramic... I think focusing on the ends connecting is the most important. |

Well I heard when people take those kind of pictures they use a special 360º Camera.
So i think it's sopposed to be like that. |

Hi, I'm new here. This week's challenge sounded challenging, so I signed up. I will be going for a mirrorbox with non reflective top and bottom, witch imho is not all that difficult to make. WARNING the following WIP is only a guidelines thing. It's not pixelart yet.
![]() Planning to add animation and/or an eyeball character. And yes, I did buy a set of 6 mirrortiles for study purposes.

I forgot to make progress, but ill try to make something... and maybe if you see this image, youll see im making things difficult for myself...
![]() So you dont only look 360º, but also from one horizon to the other... and as far as i can see on everyone's pictures you all try to replicate some fish i lens-ish thing, but ill keep things flat. Edited by Varock Shade - 09 August 2007 at 9:39am |

This is my entry to this challenge
![]() http://www.pixeljoint.com/pixelart/23563.htm and WIP with some steps. ![]() It took for me approx 8-9 hours to do this panorama, and I'm still not sure that it's ready. There are a lot of places where detalisation isn't accurate. But I decided to submit it anyway, because I'm going to take some rest and spend holidays outdoor with friends, so it will not be available to update this picture before deadline. Required reflections: - city and aircrafts are reflecting in the water. And it was really hard to do this picture in 16 colors! I hope you like it=) Edited by raynoa - 10 August 2007 at 1:29am |

Cause i think the linework is awesome, and i love infrastructure, but the colours are just letting the piece down. if id change it, id make either the lights more orange and warmer (and darker) colours on the walls and floor, or i would make the lights cold and blue and make the walls and floors a bit blue-ish grey. |
