Hey Souly I think the characters left hand needs to either be in a fist when it goes behind the character like the right hand, or they should both have fingers extended. Other than that you may want the mouth dark pixel to move to the left one pixel to help make the head turn slightly read better. Overall though the animations have nice arcs and they looks fairly natural.

The walking character seems a little stressed. He needs to slow down.

I have a limitation of 6 and I really don't want to do any more then 6 frames. :/

BTW, your animation looks like legs walking left with a huge dick dragging on the ground....

something is wrong with that shading. while the idle sequence shows a flat bodym the walking animation looks as if his torso was like a giant eraser. too square-ish IMO.

and the walking as a whole looks really unnatural to me. not because of the frame speed, but because of the way the body in general moves.

btw, why the left-right movement of the head? no man walks like that. such thing is extremely overrated, and still don't believe it could add anything to emphasise the walking movements.

Hey Souly I do a fair bit of boxing so the only advice I can give is that the character's rear leg would not advance forward at all, it just pivots with the heel swinging towards the viewer. The right hip would also twist and a typical fighter has his other hand guarding his face. Front leg usually remains rather still unless you want to punch at a different elevation in which case it would bend.

Quick paint over to explain; in the edit i adjusted the final frame a bit and lowered his head to get some protection behind his shoulder when throwing his power punch.

Okay, I'm ditching the current sprites I have at the moment.
The anatomy is horrible, and the sprite is some sort of midget.
I remember seeing that fighter tutorial at sprite art, I also remember Helm mentioning the average person is 5 heads tall. (I could be wrong)


Anyways, I've decided to work on the weapon stances for the new character design.
I need to work on my anatomy...
As well as eventually create both male and female versions of these. D:

From left to right;
Fists(claws), Two-handed sword, One-handed and secondary(sheild,grapple), Staff, Dualies, Crossbow, Magic Book, Spear

Seems unnatural to me so much movement with that long sword....
Bending so much your knees just makes no sense and make you consume a lot of energy; a professional swordman would just swich the weight between his feet.

Thats how big the BIGGEST swords in the game get.
Probably about 3/4 of that size for normal 2 handed.

But I'll see what I can do about minimizing the knee bending.

Okay I had a little chat with a swordman friend of mine, and he gave me some really nice pieces of advice.
First of all he talked about the stance: the front leg is okay, while the rear one should (should!) be straight. Usually the attack stance is with the sword pointing the forehead of your enemy.
The sword is long and supposed to be heavy, so he suggested to keep the main hand on the hilt, while the other one a bit raised to sustain the blade itself.
Well unless you character have a superhuman strenght, that is a technical suggestion from an "expert"; you can follow it or let it go, your call!

The latter looked smoother before, don't know how to fix, maybe because he stops after he finishes his cycle. The short sword stance looks nice

its nice animation wise, but i think the legs are a bit too long, his body should be longer and his legs shorter, cause' right now he looks kinda like some type of raptor/human hybrid
 
from what i figured out
-your man is too tall, if he were standing straight up hed be taller than michael jordan
-a humans body (i mean from hips to shoulders) should be pretty much equal in length to his legs while hes standing straight up,
your mans legs are 125% the length of his body, when they should be 95%-105% depending on how tall you want him
-why does he have the jewish star of david on his chest??
