well, this is my first post on the forum

not like I've posted anything anywhere else here. although I have been registered and viewing for a while



can't get the foot eye or hair shading right...
CnC, and if possible, edits help.

update;

added a foot....
i kinda didn't do much more, cuz i suck at AA and didn't understand the rest.

also

i added a new character [WIP, because i said so.]
i call him fred, because the name sounds like narwhal, which is my favorite animal.

i also suck at anatomy

so edits would be helpful

and yeah, i decided not to shade the hair.

problems I see with the new character;
anatomy
pallet
head looks cut and paste
and more... which is why im here.

Oh.  I'm the biggest fail at anatomy, so I'll just say what I think about the other things.
First off, lines.  Clean them up.  If they're staricased as they are now in some areas, they will be difficult to animate.  I take that back.  I'll assume its part of the style (will it be animated?). Legs should be longer on pink guy and he needs a facial expression.  Unless the hair is intentionally that bushy, I would make it smaller.
So if this helps at all...
Added a hair shine, made mouth more visible, added a hair shine, and made hair less bushy.  Still needs eyebrows and stuff, but I'm horrible with realistic faces.  And my eyebrows IRL are barely visible, so I'm used to not drawing them xD

but the hair was supposed to be puffy, and unrealistic. I also decided not to shade the hair.

and jess, it will be animated.

Good stuff there.
With the new one, the scythe is floating a bit above his shoulders. Just saying, it looks a bit weird.

Your main problem i see,is that you smudge up things,you just randomly put pixels and if it looks good its ok...well it looks like that from mine point of view its not a bad procedure,but first you must define basic forms,basic stuff then by tweaking some pixels you can add various details,wich is kinda hard...ussually I let lady luck decide that .You must understand that sometimes less is more and better,believe me I learned that from mine problems .You tried to overdetail it + smudging=one big mess,its really messy,try to clean it up...Anatomical issues,well I dont know if there could be any in these pieces,they are done in specific style so I wouldnt budge too much,but those character look fine to me.But the second one has some minor perspective problems with the hand holding the scythe.Pallet is ok.
Here are some quickies,so dont expect masterpieces,like I could do any like you wanted them.
