Hi, I just joined this forum, seeking help with my isometric PA. I am currently involved in a game project for a MMORPG, and these are the tiles I have done so far:

A random compisition of the tiles

Some crappy trees

To get to my point, I was wondering if anyone had any advice for drawing iso-characters for a tile-based RPG like FF Tactics?

Imagine them in 3d, and lots of shading to make them look 3D.  I havent done many iso characters, but I have examined many.  Try examining professional Games' Iso Sprites, preferably the latest GBA Final Fantasy sprites, they look very well done.

So far I have been looking at the walk animations and how they do everything. After doing the latter for about 2 weeks, I still got little to nothing. I did, however, learn how they do the walk - Both arms straight down >> Both arms out like your flapping your wings >> far arm disappears, near arm goes back to first position but bends at the elbow. The legs go: Far leg disappears, near leg is larger and in the middle-ish >> Both legs are visible and larger. All that in three frames...

Is there a website we can see for your "MMO"?
