I tried to make an elemental weapon set here. My idea was to avoid commonplace stuff, such as big fiery swords and such. Thus, at first I thought of a fire sword with a burning edge only, a "water" blade with the aspect of a crystal shard (my favourite), the "Earth" sword, green with a vine around it, and I thought of something "void" for the Sword of Air. Tried to do something a little Final Fantasy VII looking but did not like the outcome...  ...So, I went for the more conventional sword, with some energy around its edge.  Any advice about them will be welcome. Thanks!  PS: BG: Transparent, white or black? ------------- This is not a signature. |

right now ur stuff is very noisy....for example the blue sword.... there are pixels smashed all over it, without any purpose... that just makes it look old and rusty.... in pixel art u have to place every pixel rly careful, wether its one pixel to the right or left, for instance can make a huge difference especially on small scales.
ur color ramps are very linear and kinda boring... also u have to much colors, a lot of them are very similar and can easily be rermoved |

There there.... Thats what i had: (Dropped the big black sword thing)  Thats what I have NOW:  ...With a different BG  *self - crit* Though I like the new Ice Sword better (it looks cleaner) the old version still looks closer to what I wanted - Make it look like a crystal fragment rather than a sword. The changes on the Fire Blade are very subtle and difficult to notice. The two last swords remained unchanged. ------------- This is not a signature. |

I think the main problem is that in every example, you have way too much stuff on it, and very few pixels to work with. It looks like the swords are only about 5 pixels thick, and diagonal. I'd suggest getting a picture of a real sword, and use it as a reference. Swords aren't easy to do. ------------- http://ps3trophycard.com/profile/vilocon">
