CHALLENGE: Ordered Pixels

Pick two words that start with consecutive letters of the English alphabet (D&E, K&J, Z&A etc...) and use those words to form the title of your challenge piece. Your image should correspond to the title; so for example, you could pick "B" & "C" as your consecutive letters and then create a "Big Crocodile" or "T" & "S" and draw "The Sun". Keep in mind that we're talking about real English words here.

Make sure to set the title of your piece to your two chosen words.

Optional Bonus Challenge: Can you do it without picking words that start with the most common starting letters - T, A, S, H, W, I, O, B, M, F?

Canvas Size - Max 67 x 89. Either horizontal or vertical.
Colors - Max 12.
Transparency - Optional.
Animation - Optional.

CHALLENGE RULES

Participants have until this upcoming Sunday at midnight (12AM Pacific) to /pixels/submit_icons.asp'>submit their entry (strict). Don't forget to check the 'Submit to weekly challenge' checkbox.
Only new pixels allowed.
Open to all members.
Posting WIPs in this thread or in new threads in the /forum/forum_topics.asp?FID=8'>WIP section is highly encouraged, but ONLY SUBMIT YOUR FINAL ART.

CHALLENGE JUDGING

Every Sunday at midnight (12AM Pacific) the previous week's entries are judged.
Every week a new voting poll will be posted for previous week's entries.
Winner announced the following week.

CHALLENGE PRIZES/GOODIES

Top three finishers will receive an award displayed in your PJ gallery profile for all to see and envy.
Top finisher gets to call the following week's challenge...sweet.
'Participation' ribbons will be given for all who enter.
No matter what happens you get challenged :)

bit of a mish-mash at the moment, but my main plan is to have food drop down and she eats it, and gets points depending on how good or bad the food is for her.

You could animate it so that she starts off skinny then, as she eats, she changes in size. That would be awesome.

So I chose to do Overweight Panda. Comments are appreciated

Was trying to imitate Jamon's "sha-lu-likes-kung-fu!" feeling of being surrounded by leafs and stuff. Keep in mind that it's still in it's early stages

Also, I kinda need help showing the overweight part of the picture lol as of now he just looks like a normal panda, i guess.

When she eats her last carrot her score should go from 20 to 0. For some reason it jumps up to 40 and then to 0 though it says a carrot takes away 20 points. I think you might have forgotten to change it when you used that frame twice. :-)

But I really like the idea and the look. I must say the chewing animation looks a little odd though. But that should be pretty easy to fix. (:

Some Trees, using the Unpaletteable palette. Still a wip, from a sketch from life.

Lightest blue on tree tops is supposed to be much brighter than purple. Bloody laptop monitor doesn't let me be sure: need your heeeelp guys!

Meagz: excellent sprite <3. Falling foods anim could be more fluid.

The lightest blue IS brighter (the contrast between blue and purple is approximately the same than between mid-tone blue and darkest violet).
Should increase the contrast between the trees and your bg.
And to be honest, I think it's gonna be awesome.

No. The ground could use a lot more work; it looks quite flat and is pillow shaded in parts.

I know you're going for 8 colours, but I think at least one of those colours should be used to AA the rays emanating from his head.

Also, why just one small section with dithering? It seems very out of place.

Anyway, it's looking nice; very amusing.

Is anyone experiencing problems uploading?

I just loaded my entry and it never made it into my gallery as WAITING FOR APPROVAL like they did before...

@ darchangel, this doesnt appear to be happening to anyone else. Try refreshing the pages and clearing cache too. Comment here if problem still happens.

Thanks Jal, in the first upload I used the Small File option only and that's the one that never showed up.

Next I tried the Upload Detail only and that gave me an error message.

It finally worked when I uploaded the image to both options...was it always like that? I remember being able to upload just a small file if it was under 100 px.

dunno, I have always used 2 image files in everything I've ever uploaded to the gallery...didn't realize I've never made something under 100x100

Man I am having some rotten luck today...I have been trying to reply to Ambient and Manjaman for the last 30 minutes and I just can't get through...

@ Manjaman - I liked the second one, but I see you already uploaded...love the preview.

@ Ambient - this is a little late to do you any good for the comp, but maybe you can use it some other time (Edited bottom right):

Replaced that grayish-yellow with a darker purple to shade the water and perhaps more greens for the head and those could have gone to your grass as well.

I'm having some trouble too. Maybe its update related and will smooth out soon. Funny thing is the theme on the forum is not what my gallery is once I do log in o.O

E: Session stalled had to quit browser and log back in which took about 7 minutes

I stated this in the description of my newly approved Stewie, that the new version of PJ doesn't appear to have a delete or resubmit option. I need someone to approve my incorect version so that I can delete it. Thanks.
