I was hoping for animation, too XD
A mailman is just about as urban as a super hero, I'd suppose.

Would you say it's against the rules to incorporate rocket shoes, by any chance? Think about it, you'd have to be quite acrobatic to use those without smashing into something right off.
@Mr Blu: his pose looks nice and convincing. No nitpicks yet!

Not at all. Shadow from the Sonic Series had Rocket Rollerblades.

Funny you mentioned his pose, I changed it due to workability :D
( p.s. Going to reposition his right foot--And finish the background this evening. )

Is the new one supposed to be him side-stepping away from something, or is he still jumping? Right now his right foot (our left) indicates to me that he was running and stepped to the side. Unless that's the foot you intend to reposition. Whatever the case, good luck! Really liking the lineart

I think mostly, yes, but I don't see why just 80% human would be rejected. I do not have final say on this, it's up to ../p/21762.htm - Mambazo .

A figure doesn't have to be 100% human, as long as it can convey the actions :)

Can it be 0% human? I've got a cat thing going on.

Hmm, I would say at least somewhat humanoid otherwise it steers too far away from the Parkour aspect. Sorry!

So, I've been meaning to start entering competitions, and I was wondering- what are your thoughts on how close in to the character we should be? Because my immediate idea has been a slightly more zoomed out city scape with runners traversing it. The thing is, from the WIPs posted so far, I get the feeling that people are going for a very zoomed in approach. Would my idea be against the spirit of the competition? I can post up a WIP if needed.

As long as there is an evident main figure, I don't see any problem, go for it :)

So it should focus on one runner only? A had a kind of race thing going on, but I could change it, as have mainly been focusing on the landscape so far. Apologies for all the questions, I'm new here and don't want to anger the masses by bending competition rules...

12 AM PST, does that mean 9:00 on Monday morning in the Netherlands(GMT+1)? Or would that mean Sunday morning?
I'm going in vacation Fri-Sun, so I can't enter if it ends before I get home...

You can have more than one 'runner' as long as one of the runners appears to be the main focus.

Well old times had urbans as well, as you haven't mentioned a time period :)

Well here's my go at this so far. I'm not really sure about it, and would love any input on how to improve it a little.
The image is supposed to depict one runner at different stages of his journey. Like someone had taken a photo every few seconds and put them all together. I'm not sure how well that comes across, but I don't know how to make it more obvious.
13 colours at the moment.
