I have a great idea for this. Tremble in fear of my great idea.
Calling dibs on a triple monitor computer setup.

But I've got dibs! You can't do that to me, I've got dibs!
I can't post a WIP today/tomorrow yet though, as I haven't built my desk yet. (said desk will have said triple monitor setup)

Childish games should not be used to claim something.

How many other people have triple monitor setups i wonder? (i do tehe)
Back on topic, I've got a cool idea for this one. I'm not gonna promise anything however, because the last few times that i did, i ended up not even starting. (although this time, i have it almost all blocked out)

...Damn.
Once again I find myself unable to resist a contest, but I don't have any ideas that aren't painfully pedestrian.
I think I might actually need to plan this one out.
EDIT: Just to be clear, are multiple entries allowed? I don't see anything about it in the rules, but I want to know for sure before I begin work on more than one piece.

Multiple entries are allowed :)

I have two ideas... one will be with three hexagons and another with three silhouettes.
I'm thinking about experimenting with someone's palette or one from previous challenges... Anyone got a good suggestion for palettes? Not that I'm being lazy or anything, I just want to try to expand my horizons and try something different.

Whenever somebody asks about palettes I always want to suggest the 'unpalettable' palette!

IMO, there are definitely better challenge palettes than Unpaletteable.

Oh, yes i'm sure. I hate the unpalettable palette, its just funney.

I was going to do the three monkeys hear no evil, see no evil, say no evil using Donkey, Diddy and Dixxie Kong but realizing my friends 21st birthday is on Saturday and I have till Friday to make her something. (I wanted to make her a pixel art for her present) I will instead be creating a 3 panel anime styled piece. (it's a cosplay birthday party) Trying to decide if I should do it like a Manga with skewered panels reading right to left. ^_^

Funny you say that, that was actually one of the palettes I was thinking about using.
My other palettes I have listed as candidates are: http://www.pixeljoint.com/pixelart/48802.htm - "Pink Moffet Icon" by DawnBringer (for "Heart Attack Horror" challenge) , http://www.pixeljoint.com/pixelart/7006.htm - "Have you seen the Yellow Sign?" by Helm , http://www.pixeljoint.com/pixelart/30534.htm - "Slugged Up" by BlackDragon , http://www.pixeljoint.com/pixelart/19520.htm - "Amazing Skies" by The B.O.B. , http://www.pixeljoint.com/pixelart/33605.htm - "One More Time" by iLKke , and http://www.pixeljoint.com/pixelart/37340.htm - "So many guns! (revised)" by Dex

Streamline it: just block in the basics and worry about details if any time is left over. Make sure that, above all, your concept is apparent, because that just might be what wins it for you if it's good enough ;)
EDIT: I just looked at your gallery and saw that you're very adept at pixel art. Sorry if my advice seems a little insultingly simple.

I'll take the "make your concept apparent" meaning "I didn't understand that ugly sketch you made 8D" HAHAHAHA
Just kidding. Thanks WM. I'll try to do that - if my perfectionism allows me to, that is.

Maybe shorten it as much as you can without affecting the feeling of the piece. 500~ pixels is rather large.

Sleepless: I'm not childish, you are, now shutup or I'll tell your mom.
W M: Nice, that even works as general art (like photography-popart)
Psyclone: Looks like just one joined image to me, right now. Will you do other views of the left and right slabs?
Slemboll: Your image is *.JPG which is very bad for pixel art. Please save as *.PNG or *.GIF.

This is only the first image - The remaining two will have the weather changing over time & nature "taking over" :)
Hope I can finish in time though..

calling dibs on last minute blue entries

as a side note, I'm kinda dissapointed to see so many images that are just one image chopped up into three sections.

I've been too busy moving back into my dorm and getting around for school to finish either of my ideas in time for the challenge, but I still want to finish them.
Here's my first idea, in a very rough draft form:
(Larry's face seems to have lost its Larry-ness so I need to work on that...)
http://i61.photobucket.com/albums/h55/Berserk798/Pixels/3stoogesjpg.jpg - This is my sketch that it's based on .
http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/a/ae/Healthywealthy.jpg - And this is the photo that my SKETCH is based on .
After seeing all the submissions for this contest though, my ideas/abilities pale in comparison :S
Any crits and comments are welcome!

@ Beserk, once a challenge is complete and closed people rarely visit the thread anymore, cept the google bots. Its cool to finish things up, so its probably better to make a WIP thread for your piece.

Alright, thanks Jalonso. I probably won't make a thread for it until I improve on it more.
