It's not a very interesting image, but I want to find out what I'm doing wrong and where I can improve :).
This is the original image that I made:

I got some comments on that, remembered a tutorial I read once and changed it into this:

But that edit removed some details (it was harder to see the doors and windows, and the little details in them).
I took another look at it and then tried to create a mix of my first image and my second:

But I still feel that I'm doing something wrong. Can someone give me some tips or maybe remake the image to point out the flaws? That would be really helpful :).

Thanks for making a WIP thread for this. Its easier than having every edit being sent back...we don't like doing that to people.
I'll post my c+c later today with some edits to illustrate my opinion on your house.

*for now, remember, you have to make a nice #25 that matches your neighbors, and I won't forget it, so be thinking about that :p

What do you mean by this? What's a #25? =P And why should whatever it is be matching my neighbors? =S

The iso collab space you claimed (was forced upon you) which you apparently already forgot about :p

I didn't forget it =O You just didn't see it :P. I edited my post because paint was acting up and destroying the .gif (now that I'm thinking about it, I could try to do it in paint.NET)

More stuff like this in the n00btorial thread in the resource section, if you haven't seen that already.

Wow. I wasn't expecting something that detailed =O =P.
It's really helpful though. Thanks a lot :). I think I'll study that a bit more, read that n00btorial thread, play around with some stuff and eventually try posting something like this again. Thanks a lot for the info and the effort you put into this :)

No biggie, go practice and have fun :)
I was gonna animate it with a UFO flying over it and then exploding the house but thought it was too much, too fast

Hehe, maybe I'll try (if I'm able to improve on my pixelart, that is) to make an UFO/exploding house animation XD
