I'm working on a small tree for a tower defense game that I was asked to do sprites for.

I'm still working on it, but it seems to be lacking in the pallet department . Any tips?

Try and shift the hues a little bit more.

out of curiosity, why'd you choose purple to shift too? a more bluish hue might provide an easier shift. the warm reddish-purple on the underside of the canopy also seems a bit warm for foliage (also, this color could be used to provide details in the purple area on the left side of the canopy. the brightest highlight seems kinda washed out, you could try making it a more saturated color, with the brightness also raised to compensate. Brown on the trunk seems kinda dull, could give it a bit of a reddish tint maybe.

edit:
But yeah you're right, I do suppose that was vague of me.
It was late at the time.
