I'm working on a house, but I can't really get the yellow walls right. They don't have to be yellow... The house is a mix between old western style and high tech style. That is why the roof is our of metal, and the door. But for the world of me, I can't get the walls to come out good. | Well, first I would make the dude smaller than the door of the house. For the walls I'd say add a darker yellow color and make a simple texture? That's all I can think of to do, but I've only done pixel art for like a month now. |

Thanks! Anyway, the dude is not important so please ignore him. I tried a darker yellow already. In fact I tried many combinations and textures without getting anything good out of it. If I was able to do it myself I wouldn't be asking for help...

So what's the problem? Looks great to me. I wouldn't change the yellow colour, personally. The flaky paint is a nice detail, although I didn't notice it before I zoomed in. Maybe use more contrast on that. Right now, the wall is very clean, so if you want to make it a gritty western look, just add dirt :) Then again, I'm only just getting into pixelart. |
