I had wanted to take a ferry over to japan, but I was too busy with work and never got around to it. Here's the start of my view of mt fuji. I'm hoping to do it in similar style as the http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Thirty-six_Views_of_Mount_Fuji - 36 views of mt fuji .

I'm making a tileset Egypt postcard! This is *supposed* to be Abū al Hūl at the Al Ǧīza plateau. At least it's how I imagine it to be :D
Here's a wip, and the sphinx shading process :)

It has the pyramids and camels and stuff.
I do hope I've got the writing right, would be wonderful if someone versed in Arabic could confirm it :D

*edit* almost done now.
Also, a3um, OMG those clouds.

Not done yet, of course. Loosely based on this photo:

I wasn't pillow shading; those are lighted signs and are meant to look like that.

Pyongyang! I love North Korea. That's funny I considered somewhere in North Korea as well. I was actually looking at some villages on Google Earth.

I like the tiled Egypt also; it looks bad ass so far.

Hey! It's my first time joining in the challenge. I wanted to do more buildings so this theme is perfect.

Apparently I also hate myself, since I decided to use the ZX Spectrum palette and 2 colors per 8x8 block limitation. I'm doing the http://www.dubaipromenade.ae/ - Dubai Promenade and here is what I've got so far:

Edit: I take that back, limitations are fun.

@Retronator, i LOVE it. Not only is it unhampered by the restrictions, i actually think it is better for it, it gives the piece alot of it's charm. I especially like the 2nd island and the way you gave the impression of a busy city with such little colours and space :)

There is also this website:
http://www.random.org/geographic-coordinates/
It genereate true random geographic coordinate, using atmospheric noise to get this true randomness

Almost done. This is exactly how I imagine japan being, by the way.

This is my first time pixeling an anime girl, so it's not very good. x_x

I think it's pretty much done~

I'm very glad you like it! It also reminds me I have another ZX Spectrum piece that I started way too long ago and still haven't finished. Have to get my wacom busy again soon ...
