I like the middle version but I generally prefer dark outlines so I don't know if you should listen to me.  (The left version's outline is a bit too dark for me.) |

I like the left one. The shadow under his hat looks awesome. Overall a great sprite. |

I'm on left as well.. took some time to decide. The middle one is great too though. Right one doesn't appeal to me as much. It looks a tad washed out I think is the word in comparison. ------------- ~--- - |

I like the right version because there's no such thing as lines.
Pictures are just made up of different tones. The only reason lines
'appear' in some places is because there's such a small region of where the darkest tone is. It's usually used to separate parts of the piece. |
