Absolutely brilliant. I'm looking forward to seeing how this turns out. Will you be adding a lot of details or do you plan to keep it simple?

I would make a small change to the trajectory of "tinkerbell" where the long horizontal line turns into a descent on the left side. The change of course is a bit sudden.

looking forward to seeing this finished. Not sure about how many colours but I think you're gonna spend quite some hours on this baby! :D

cells,
i really dont know about the amount of details, simple is always nice.
initially i had another path for "tinkerbell" (a firefly with a lightbulb maby).
i was thinking maby add one or two more of them to light up parts of the rock.

onek,
yes i have never thought much about being restricted to a color palette before i found this place.
its interesting and makes me think different.

qemist,
for sure, i have already spent many hours on this =)

Thanks for comment to all!

a possible direction...

(i started to see things as i went along....a tree-witch, really?)
other things i think i see: a rugged shoreline towards the horizon,
and a shipswreck in the background perhaps..
things to do: clean up crashing waves, work on the sky.

# random grunge brushes
# lasso tool
# shadowpixels from my girlfriends skin*
# moving stuff around... etc

*Not really the way of the pixel i know,
but im trying to find out where this picture wants to go.

Interesting way of drawing the sky. I might steal that some day.

Looks good. But yeah, "tree-witch, really?". This could make or break the piece for me. It's already a very interesting clash of styles, between the pixel-sky and the Japanese-style foreground.

It does look like you've used the spray tool a lot, as there's no set pattern to the dithering, in some areas. I wonder what the powers that be think of this style.

hi cels, quick reply to you.
yeah im going to skip the witch-thing =)
also...
theres no spray tool here,

the dithering you are referring to are
the radom paterns created with the shadowpixels, and im going to clean up this whole mess at the end.
Japanese hmm, didnt think of it but thanks, they got some pretty inspirational stuff.

Hey Divtag,

@ "not the way to pixel"
Theres only two ways new things get invented and thats either by making a mistake or doing something on a different way. I think you are up to something and I like it. Whatever you use to get there, its about the finished result right?

Art isnt all about looking natural, while in your piece there is reality in there I hope you stick with the dark magic you got in this piece.

For some I might ramble random words, others might agree on a certain part and for all I might not even be giving you what you are asking but I felt like writing this all down.

Hope to see more later! Have fun!
