Hi guys, not pushed any pixels in ages but me and a few friends have got together to create an arena shooter in Flixel so I thought it was about time I registered and got some decent feedback.

As you can see I've decided to use http://www.pixeljoint.com/pixelart/64505.htm - DBs 16 colour palette this was mainly just to push myself and to give it a bit of a test run. Been thinking that it'll be viewed at 2x in game.

Comments welcome.

biiig prizes!
I LOVE IT!

It looks cool however the walls look nice and crisp but the floor tiles look a bit beveled. Perhaps decrease the dark grouting?

I had a spare few minutes so did an edit to illustrate:

I smell Minish Cap! :-D

Looks pretty good thus far. I take it the tiles horizontally along the middle
are the frames of a tile flip animation?

Thanks for the edit skn3, the reason they looks so beveled is because the floor will be an ever changing part of the game (flipping, revealing enemies, creation of "power up" areas etc...) but I will have a look into it.

I must admit that Minish Cap was an influence but Speedball was a bigger one ;) and you are correct in thinking the middle tiles are a flip animation (still heavily WIP though)
