CHALLENGE: Propaganda

Design your own original http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Propaganda - propaganda poster (this means no pixel renditions of existing designs). It can be for any cause you like - from real to fictional.

Canvas Size - 150 (width) x 200 (height).
Colours - Max 8.
Transparency - No.
Animation - No.

CHALLENGE RULES

  • Participants have until this upcoming Sunday at midnight (12AM Pacific) to /pixels/submit_icons.asp'>submit their entry (strict). Don't forget to check the 'Submit to weekly challenge' checkbox.
  • Only new pixels allowed.
  • Open to all members.
  • Posting WIPs in this thread or in new threads in the /forum/forum_topics.asp?FID=8'>WIP section is highly encouraged, but ONLY SUBMIT YOUR FINAL ART.

CHALLENGE JUDGING

  • Every Sunday at midnight (12AM Pacific) the previous week's entries are judged.
  • Every week a new voting poll will be posted for previous week's entries.
  • Winner announced the following week.

CHALLENGE PRIZES/GOODIES

  • Top three finishers will receive an award displayed in your PJ gallery profile for all to see and envy.
  • Top finisher gets to call the following week's challenge...sweet.
  • 'Participation' ribbons will be given for all who enter.
  • No matter what happens you get challenged :)

So, I'm trying to do a portrait of Chuck Testa cross M. Bison. Got the idea when I noticed Testa has a skull on his cap.


updated 10/5, it seems i cant make it to resemble him :D

Its "traced" from this image



It's my first portrait, and I'm not sure if I'm getting the hang of the shadows.

This is my first time participating. I made a 150x200 poster as by the rules, but when I try to upload it, the site refuses and says it only accepts 100x100 images.

ehtd: you're probably trying to upload the full image into the preview slot. you need a preview less than 100x100, and the full size goes into the "Detail" file :)

Not very great so far. I'm happy with "join us" and the colours... The skeleton hand I was working with as a model had too much tonal variety and I'm trying to avoid using photoshop / poser (gotta kepp it real man)... and I've not tried anything this big before.

I think it's a fantastic concept and I like the design. But the anatomy of the hand looks off. Which picture did you use for reference? Also, I don't understand what the white thing is.

the poster is meant to be torn. I like torn posters... I'll put the picture up. I think i'll have a look at some hellboy comics as well.
