Nice but the colors seem a bit dull and roll animations kind of seem wierd

The normal walk sorta looks like he's in high heels. Good to see you back :>

@Sahrab: that's not really critique. how are the colors dull? which colors are dull? how is the animation weird? leaving 'drive-by' critiques that are vague and give no real information to the artist aren't very helpful.

Everything looks okay to me.

This is beautiful. Really love the colors, the animation and this character design. This might look like it's over-animated, but what about moving the clothe between his legs a bit more especially in the attacking phase? Keep up the excellent work.

Great color, but as the Jalonso said, walking in high heels looks.

thanks for the replies, here's an update.

adjusted the feet in the walk anim.. also shifted a frame in the punch anim, and added more details to further frames.
i'll have to experiment with making the cloth move more.

Pretty cool! If you upload the frames or make some sort of sheet I could
analyze the animation for you. Is this rotoscoped by any chance?

thanks :)
it's not rotoscoped, you can see some of the process explained here: www.alexhw.com
I'm not sure how to make a sprite sheet with photoshop, i really ought to figure that out if I keep add more animations x_x

It's quite cool except the air somersault.  He bends way too much than he should. I just googled it and the http://www.wikihow.com/Perform-a-Somersault - first link shows quite an artistic one.

Photoshop itself doesn't have a sprite sheet extractor, there are free addons you can google though.

P.S post some of those lovely environments you have on your site

I kind of agree with Gecimen. It doesn't quite look natural, he looks almost like Sonic the Hedgehog when he jumps. I would extend his body a bit more. Though it might look better when he's actually moving across the screen, rather than spinning in mid-air.

I also have a bit of a problem with his uppercut punch. I know you're exaggerating it for the sake of a dynamic animation, but right now his punch has a range of five inches. He's basically just punching straight upwards, and wouldn't hit anyone unless they were standing directly nose-to-nose. Not really a mistake, but just... something to consider.
