| Aha, I didn't realize transparency was a no-no. How embarrassing :O I can pretty easily incorporate a background when it's finished, though. Otherwise I don't see any rules it violates, but please correct me if I'm wrong. |

WIP update:
I'm not sure how that wing is looking yet, so I'll give it a break for today and come back tomorrow and see what I think. I'll probably be adding some yellows to the wings too. Still contemplating what I'm gonna do about the background. |

It is very safe to win the challenge this week with pixelart. | Personally I think any sentient life form should count. It'd be even better if 'non-sentient' things could be used to convey jealousy as well, like a shriveled house plant 'looking' out the window at an oak. But I didn't organize this challenge so that's just my two cents. |

Thanks for the challenge update! I had been working on something that didn't quite fit but now it does. I'm basically done with this, but since submitting isn't up yet, maybe I can get some feedback here and make some more improvements.

Well, seeing as my jelly blobs are back in the game now and I have extra time to improve my piece, I might as well post my progress here again. Let me know what you guys think:
Obviously the clouds are still WIP. I wasn't quite satisfied with the green blob's expression (it doesn't quite convey jealousy, more like surprise) and I thought this would be a neat way to symbolize envy more clearly. Also, Mrmo, you pixel master, that piece is wonderful

Your piece is wonderful, but I don't see how it conveys "jealousy." @iMoose I think you have too many colors going on in the wings. Maybe get rid of the green and other brightness. Also, the face in the background clouds is cool, but takes some attention away from the poor, little slime. The jealous slime should be your focal point, IMHO. |

I think you're right about the wings. I took out most of the sharp greens and the reds. I kept the softer greens though, because I think they make the wings a little prettier, and they help to further distinguish the wings from all the rest of the blues in that area (as well as balance the green across the piece). 
I see what you're saying about the face, and I agree that the blobs should be the main focus. I really want to keep that face there though. Perhaps making more brightness contrast between the blob and the clouds will make the blob a more prominent focal point? Here's what it looks like with the clouds significantly darkened: 
Right now I'm not sure which I like better. Guess I'll see what I think with fresh eyes tomorrow morning. Thanks for the feedback 
@a3um I love the colors and the hazy dark look, great composition so far. Am I right in thinking the man with the gun is jealous of the man with the woman? |

@iMoose, yes I like the darkened clouds and face more. Perhaps you should also change the blue background behind the flying slime. I dunno. That yellow sun in the upper corner also tugs at the eye. Perhaps get rid of it (or change it to blue?)
Sorry for the confusing advice. Color choices can be tough. edit: perhaps with the clouds you could stick with the slightly brighter green version, but get rid of the BRIGHT GREEN in the eyes (they really stick out in the darker version). |

Je suis d'accord pour donner la définition de représentation mais alors une fois le challenge fini, je ne comprend pas pourquoi personne n'est capable de spéculation pour mon art-pixel , je prend avec amertume la réaction anti-artistique de vous tousse !!! j'ai horreur de me justifier, surtout au près de faible d'estime.  Mais je reste fier de mon art et je ne le prendrais pas mal si celui si n'est simplement pas accepter pour le challenge !

Fine, Grain. Do what you want. But if no one can see your portrayal of jealousy, don't expect to win this challenge.
No one is asking you to justify yourself, only that you follow the rules for this challenge. If you can't do that...then...it might not be a good idea to participate in it. |

une plante qui pousse au printemps , à côté d'un vieux pied de l'année dernière + ou - 'mort' qui exprime ça jalousie à travers un regarde névrose , aussi une jeune pousse en bas qui montre un visage de colère et de haine suite à sont retard sur sont temps ! Cette jeune pousse étant issu des même racines du pied mort jaloux. Donc je ne pense pas avoir viser à côté du sujet qui était (le vert avec envie , la jalousie " |
