Just practicing my isometric pixel art skills! I tried to come up with an interesting and dynamic building shape before moving on to choosing a palette.
Just looking for some C+C. I'll update as it comes along.
Let me know what you think!

Pretty cool =) I love the heli pad symbol, round things are a b*tch to get right like that.
So .. this looks like a school to me. but since it has a helipad i guess it's maybe a hospital? a small one at that.
I can't spot anything wrong with it, as far as I can tell you've stuck really well to the rules of isometrics. So, well done! =D
colour it please ^___^

Thanks for the reply!
And don't worry about trying to guess what it is, because I'm not even sure what it is either ^^. I just kind of went with the flow and that's how it happened to turn out.
And as for the helicopter pad, I just added it for fun and I couldn't tell if I liked it or not so I kept it in. It'll either stay or go depending on what I decide the building or theme will be.
Anyway, I think the outline is far enough along for me to start testing some colors on it. I'll definitely keep it updated as I continue to work on it.
Thanks again for the nice comments!

Just wanted to reiterate: i love the helipad.
Please keep it in ^____^
Maybe when you add colour you'll wanna add a lil red dot on each corner.. helipads sometimes have those to guide them to land at night *shruggs* or at least in MY mind they do.. i don't know how it works IRL.

Beautiful. You had good! Just choose a good palette, try doing it yourself, then you train isos and palettes! :)

Started trying some colors out on the main portion of the building. I tried a few colors, but this dull greenish-blue has looked the best so far.
I was thinking of doing a worn-out wooden plank look on the rooftop. If I could even pull it off . Anyways, let me know what you guys think, or if you have any suggestions so far.
As always, thanks for the feedback!

Well the shading is solid, can't say I particularly adore the green though. Not for a building at least. I was imagining some sort of sandy yellow or orange tinge.
I think, before you continue, you should decide on what this building is so that you can decorate it accordingly.
lfspr is right, too. If you choose your own palette you can practice that at the same time as practising isos.
Good luck!

Thanks for the advice Partack and lfspr. I've changed the shape of the building quite a bit, and I now I think it looks more like an office building or possibly a library. I also changed the color to an orange tinge like Partack had suggested. I think it looks a lot better than before.
I've also started to add in some of the other details such as windows, so let me know how those look.
As always, let me know what you think. And a big thanks to you guys that are giving me good suggestions!

you seem to be headed into the style of E-Boy. As of now, the cyan is overpowering the somewhat toned down orange. On top of that, the cyan isn't properly depicting windows or glass. I'm not going to comment on the actual building design itself, since I think you should follow the style in your head and experiment a bit as well, but take a look at this E-boy work, how the colors are well balanced and create harmony. Take a look at how this building creates a glass effect for the windows with a more transparent blue.

The cyan blue makes me think of those pillars as more of a source of energy or something and because of that the building looks like an alien race's building or something instead.
If they are windows you'll definitely want to follow frost_butt's advice.
Looks good tho. =) Make more ^___^

@Frost Butt: Yes, I have been slightly influenced by E Boy. And looking at it now, the cyan color was a bit too saturated compared to the rest of the palette.
@Partack: Haha nope, just regular windows on a regular building. I guess that means I should change the color then.
Changed the hue and saturation of the windows; I think the colors fit a lot better into the palette now.
I'm not sure if i really like the shine streaks on the windows, but i wasn't sure what else to do with them. In my opinion, the windows on the left look a lot better than those on the right. I wasn't sure if the shine streaks on the right were supposed to be in the same direction as the ones on the left or if they were supposed to angle towards the top left.
Either way, let me know what you think about the new blue colors as well as the windows. I'd appreciate some suggestions on what I should do with them. I'm not sure if I want to do the transparent effect that was in the E Boy picture about. Thanks for the replies and suggestions you two!

Much better. Don't get rid of the sheen. It really sells the look of 'window' to me. roof's a little empty. maybe an air conditioning fan? maybe a gutter trench for rain? maybe some bird poop? =P or even a bird.
*Shruggs* spinning ideas for the hell of it.
Good job. MAKE MORE.

Thanks, I might mess around with the windows a bit just to see if i can find a better way to do the shine. And I'll definitely be adding stuff to the roof and around the building to make it more exciting pretty soon. Might bring the helicopter pad back if it looks any good
As always, thanks for your help!

If all else fails, put the helipad next to the building with shrubs and a walkway leading to the building..
