So here's an early WIP. I've recently been browsing through Ilkke and Ptoing's galleries, so I guess the inspiration comes from those :)

aaand an update #2:

A great big thanks to Ptoing for providing valuable advice O_O

It seems this has more taken on the guise of abandonment and lack of vision than the ruinous incompleted android as originally intended.

Not sure if I'll take this any further. I don't really think it should be entered, but I wanted to show it.

Hello All,

This is my first attempt at pixel art. I really enjoy the art of this community so I've decided to try my hand and start giving.

Constructive criticism welcome. I went for a strait forward approach to simplify my first efforts. Tell me what you think =D

Moar updaets time! Changed some hues around, did some lackluster AA, added some stuff. Still a long way to go :/

@Setzer: I really like it, perhaps you could add some details to make it suitable for the challenge? just saying...

Tarius: I really like the old red colors. It looked much dirtier with that old palette. New changes are nice =)

Here's my very early WIP. It's going to be a rubbish bot controlled by the dust bunnies!

Mainly posting it to work out the shapes before coloring, any feedback is much appreciated!

I can't see it Googlecrab.

and that dusty dithering is awesome in Mrmo's piece also.. I was wondering why there were light shapes in it yesterday, but now it makes sense with the skyscrapers more defined.

Yeah I probably have to sketch it out a bit more now that I take a second look at it.

Where there's rubbish, there's roaches....

Still gotta come up with a decent background for it.

@Witpickles, I'm pretty new here as well, and far from an expert, but I like the simplistic style; your dithering seems nice, and I think I even detect a couple of flies buzzing around :)

@Mrmo Tarius, this is very nice! That innocent little grin doesn't fool me at all though, that bear is a pyro...  I agree with slym, the red coulors seemed to work a bit better IMO

Well, I like those blue tones, but I agree the reds work a bit better, and I've still got more colors to add, so...

:D

Hey guys! Is it ok to use an idea conceived before this week? I made a sketch a few months ago, but never actually started pixeling.

Jenyafio 100 its not your job to choose the subject of the next challenge. Its the winner of the challenge from two weeks ago I presume. The next challenger I believe is LuckyF.

Anyone can suggest a challenge, but one way of making sure it will never happen is posting it publicly.
