Not sure about the style yet, but yeah, I'm pretty bad at posing. and being creative. I think we want a rounder cartoony style.

I like the guy in the red shirt. Zombie, however, looks like a puppet. Find a good reference. Like this, for example:

Add more texture to zombie faces. Show their teeth. And with this small sprites, excluding drawing pupils with zombies is a winner.

added the player, please crit anything at all that you would do differently (if you're a good pixel artist....) I want every pixel to be perfect. Why does mine not look like pixel gold, I want good quality.

Made some variations, we haven't decided which one to use yet. It's for a kids game.

For poses, use a camera and photograph yourself in front of a blank wall using a timer setting (a tripod helps a lot)

Pick the best shots, shrink them down, and use them to create simple outline/line drawings as a base for your sprites.
