wow very original coloring tecnique there. Go with a light blue for the skin, ar maybe just shade with a light blue. This looks likie a watercolor t e. I hope you didn't photoshop and use those commands like simplify colors.;)

Some anti-aliasing would do it right as well.

It's more of an oekaki piece than pixel art currently, clean it up and add some pixel level detail before anything.

Looking pretty good so far, I do agree with it needing some aa or maybe lighten the black on the face

You might want to consider the sky being very dark (almost) black so that the castle is merely indicated by the highlights highlights cuz if you only look at the composition outlines it kinda appears that the castle looks is her hand, making it look kinda funny. The moon is too big, try smaller so that it does not compete with her. It agree with more aa as all stated above.
PS. Sorry if I gave you grief when you posted this on the PJ main site, it is obviously a WIP. Welcome to PJ and congrats on tackling such a difficult first pixelart. :D

I just have to say this.

Antialiasing and dithering don't mean a damn thing if the piece isn't past the sketching phase.

You really should just ignore the comments to dither and aa currently and refine the shapes and the overall idea of the piece first. It's useless to dither something this big and then clean and refine after. Your lines are very rough and could be improved greatly if you just save the later steps for just that, later.

and to all beginner pixel artists, dither is not always necessary. personally, i never use dither in most of my pieces.

I like it, very castlevania ish :) the background is awesome the way it is, but for the vamp, he could use alot of smoothing out so he doesn't look so rough at parts [mostly the black outlines; his breastplate could use some smoothing out as well, it just likes like topography right now =p. But I do like it very much =]

Yeah you are right  As i love the game, and the artwork i was drawing  my own character in a very castlevania like style. and decided to make a pixel art out of it. after a classmate showed me his pixelart, and explained that it was drawn pixel by pixel, DUH. I got interested, opent graphicsgale, and here it is......

considering these are your first pieces of art they are verry good, but
on the small one his arms are a bit short or at least the one without
the sword looks it you should also decide where your lightsource is,
on the metal plateing on his chest it apears to be coming from our
left, however on his waist it appears to be comeing from our right.
