CHALLENGE: Dog Sprite

It's the http://www.westminsterkennelclub.org/ - Westminster Dog Show !

Create an animated sprite of a dog - the animation can be anything you want - from blinking to tail-chasing; regardless, there must be some kind of animation.

A list of dog breeds can be found http://www.westminsterkennelclub.org/breedinformation/ - here .

Canvas Size - Max 50 x 50.
Colours - Max 25.
Transparency - Required.
Animation - Required.

CHALLENGE RULES

  • Participants have until this upcoming Sunday at midnight (12AM Pacific) to /pixels/submit_icons.asp'>submit their entry (strict). Don't forget to check the 'Submit to weekly challenge' checkbox.
  • Only new pixels allowed.
  • Open to all members.
  • Posting WIPs in this thread or in new threads in the /forum/forum_topics.asp?FID=8'>WIP section is highly encouraged, but ONLY SUBMIT YOUR FINAL ART.

CHALLENGE JUDGING

  • Every Sunday at midnight (12AM Pacific) the previous week's entries are judged.
  • Every week a new voting poll will be posted for previous week's entries.
  • Winner announced the following week.

CHALLENGE PRIZES/GOODIES

  • Top three finishers will receive an award displayed in your PJ gallery profile for all to see and envy.
  • Top finisher gets to call the following week's challenge...sweet.
  • 'Participation' ribbons will be given for all who enter.
  • No matter what happens you get challenged :)

There are 404 errors with the links you put, I think it's beause you didn't put the ".htm" at the end of them. ;)

I'll be making an Inu Shiba, because voltari obscur indirectly asked all of us to, and I am one of all of us (you are, too)
Also, because they're mighty cute

I was thinking about doing some crazy animation about jumping fire rings and biting crook asses and receiving medals, but instead I'll just simply do a walking cycle, and try to do it DAMN GOOD.

Here's an update of mine. I was thinking of making him lick his nose, but otherwise this will probably be the final version.



@kaze19th: I like what you're going for. You should probably put some frames in between to make it smoother.

@A2J2TIWARI: The cape moves nicely! The shading improves the piece, but I would get rid of the flashing on the ears.

This is the first challenge I've participated in. Because of my username I was thinking of making a poodle at first, but I decided on a bulldog instead.

I have next to no experience in animation so I'm just making it simple. I'm not entirely happy with it so I might make some small changes. Critique is welcome

Well done so far :)
How about making the bounce less rythmic? Give him some rest in the top or bottom position! And maybe play with his tail :).
Also his right back paw makes him look a bit like a teddy bear
I like his eyes :)

I made a few subtle changes to my sprite and I also added a tail animation and changed the head bounce like Hapiel suggested.

It definitely looks a bit better now, although the tail looks a little choppy when it moves but I'll probably be too busy to fix it before the deadline.
It's not a very detailed animation but I did learn a little bit from it. :)
