CHALLENGE: Mmm...Pi(e)

Mmm...Pi(e)

Create an image that includes a http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pie - pie .

Also, you must hide the pi symbol that's shown below somewhere in the image - make sure to keep the symbol one colour. Also; no resizing, rotating, or flipping.



Enlarged:



Canvas Size - Max 141 x 141.
Colours - Max 14
Transparency - Optional.
Animation - Optional.

CHALLENGE RULES

  • Participants have until this upcoming Sunday at midnight (12AM Pacific) to /pixels/submit_icons.asp'>submit their entry (strict). Don't forget to check the 'Submit to weekly challenge' checkbox.
  • Only new pixels allowed.
  • Open to all members.
  • Posting WIPs in this thread or in new threads in the /forum/forum_topics.asp?FID=8'>WIP section is highly encouraged, but ONLY SUBMIT YOUR FINAL ART.

CHALLENGE JUDGING

  • Every Sunday at midnight (12AM Pacific) the previous week's entries are judged.
  • Every week a new voting poll will be posted for previous week's entries.
  • Winner announced the following week.

CHALLENGE PRIZES/GOODIES

  • Top three finishers will receive an award displayed in your PJ gallery profile for all to see and envy.
  • Top finisher gets to call the following week's challenge...sweet.
  • 'Participation' ribbons will be given for all who enter.
  • No matter what happens you get challenged :)

Hey everybody, this is my first post on this forum so I think I should introduce myself. I am regenjasenplanga and I like to create pixel art. I am not very good at it yet, but I will try till I am very good :)! Here is my first version for this challenge:

Hey everyone, this was my submission

It was rejected.
Can someone give me an advice on how to improve it?
My idea was making some kind of trademark poster or something like that.

@AirStyle it's hidden in the Brain 'a' if you download the img you can zoom it and find it.

A few points of attention you should fix:
- Up the contrast
- Pick a lightsource
- Fix the perspective difference (legs and body)

Another challenge:
- Dive into the world of body shapes and recreate your zombie so it's body shape looks more natural.

I'm sure that if you fix these points your submission will be approved.

In addition to what Club Beuker said, you should also work on a billboard background for this, instead of making it transparent. You said it was an ad, right? Make it look more like that. Look at references for ways you can freshen up the pic.

It looks rather unfinished, and that's probably the reason why they didn't accept. I'll let them say that for sure, though. I'm not one of the judges. However, you're still going to need more work on this if you ever want this to be accepted. No worries, though: you still got about 4 days to work on this.

I tried adding some shadings and little details. But I can't figure out some kind of ad-like object because these are the 14 colors already.

You can always re-use the colors you've already used..
