hey guys i love pixel art and i really want to get started drawing some of my own but i have no clue as to where to start could some1 tell me where to find some nice tutorials? see i've found some tuts but they never say which program to use and how to draw it.. which program is the best for pixel art? thanks

There are many programs you can use for pixel art. But i think you should keep it simple. i am also just starting out, and use grahicsgale, it,s kinda like paint..but with some extra functions. and about the drawing part. I just make a drawing on paper till it looks good. and then make a pixel art out of it. PS: i think you posted this in the wrong section. You should post it in the Resources and Support section |

Ladies and Gentlemen and everyone else replying to this thread and others: I've noticed an increase in unwarranted attacks on newbies and generally just going off-topic altogether. Please keep this down to a minimum and/or move it to the actual http://www.pixeljoint.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=1043&TPN=23 - off-topic thread that is already up. It is really starting to become a larger problem and it shouldn't be a case of scaring ALL the new members away at all. We are all here to help one another and gain skills from the help of others. HubFub: you can use any pretty much program that allows you to draw with the 1x1 pencil tool. MSPaint is the norm because it's free. Take a look on the main site for a plethora of tutorials and use these forums to help get feedback for your work.
