A scenery is a scenery and not much you can do about that cept something like the layout which you could improve. Depending on idea, i.e, more depth of field, flat planed, toony, etc. You can however focus on dithering and colors as a road to awesome. See Elk's newest piece (zoomed) for great dithering technique ref.

Okay, I added dithering as u suggested:

I want to add clouds where the sun is so that sun and mountains are somewhat get hidden behind them but making clouds is so difficult..

Moreover, I just want to make this look piece awesome. Maybe somewhat realistic as well.

do you plan on adding AA to the sun?  Also, your work could use a more stylistic approach as Jalonso mentioned.  Right now it's not very exciting to look at.  What you have so far is not easily tweaked into a realistic style.  I'd suggest a more creative style such as artsy sun rays swirly clouds and wavy mountains with more exotic color choices.  Also, the mountains further back should be less saturated and more closer to the color of the sky

the mountains look like big piles of dirt because they are simply conical in shape.  Real mountains have a more jagged contour.  The trees could probably use a little contrast.  Little edit

Used r1k's edit and many other images of real mountains on Google as references and added good textures to mountains so that it could look more realistic. Also re-shaded mountains and I am fairly happy from them.

So here's the update:

Now I want to work on clouds, but really can't create them nicely. Also would like to rework on mountains, only if u guys point out mistakes, ofcourse :p

Looks way better now. The sun touching the very edge of the canvas is a bit odd now though.

Its getting better but I still think you need to work on the fundamental layout and the balance of the pieces within the scene before you run to detail pixelling. I see the 'lines' within being all over the place and the piece does not move my eye in a pleasing or even understandable direction. Even in a static piece art should be its own story and you are its director. You never want your audience lost. Its this that makes still life a classic and revered subject matter to the ultra high end arty types. I'm not suggesting you go for that but its a good thing to make a decent effort. Even the uneducated art viewer can be driven...don't get lost by my rambling words too much, just catalog it in your brain, k.
Btw, you really should study Indian miniature art and classic Indian paintings which excel at this layout/design/balance. You live there and its your heritage so shame on you for not having that sensibility already in your blood (at least I think you are Indian?)
I love and am inspired by Indian art in my pixelart a lot. I see a lot of similarities in them and most have a 'platformer' look and feel and the same sens of color dynamics.

Wow Jalonso, this your way of thinking is amazing! You talk like a pro artist, with a taste of art and what not! But somehow adding a story and life to this piece is definitely going to be a challenge, but rather a fun thing to do. And so, I take accept this challenge and will try to come up with an idea.

About the Indian art and stuff, I am neither a typical Indian nor have great taste of art. Since childhood all I liked to make was anime inspired characters like DBZ. Also, due to our schooling systems and change in traditions that are driving us away from our original Indian traditions is developing as a big problem. Many kids and teens now instead of knowing about their own mythology and heritage knows and adores western mythology(Greek) and others. And now you being inspired by it, is a slap on Indians...

Thanks for inspiring. I am going to study Indian paintings now and come up with a story to add to this piece.

Nothing wow is there. These are advanced, yet basic, art principles.

Where do you suppose early anime artists got their inspiration, principles and foundation from?...Mostly, from Japanese scroll design and cultural/design sensibilities. Many anime pieces are almost copies of earlier work. Style, physical location and all else is not that important.

Some Greek Dude- Raphael - Picasso - Niki De St.Phalle

Trying to add some calmness to the scene, to show my basic philosophy: Nature teaches you calmness.

I am not sure how to depict it perfectly though.

Instead of adding calmness to the piece, I gave it a more better story:

It's a view of beautiful scenery through a person's balcony. Those reds are curtains. I am not sure how shall I texture those wooden planks.

I prefer the forest idea. Now it doesn't feel as natural.

its not really clear that its a balcony.  I thought the curtains where part of a stage.  But you can push the story farther if you wanted. Like, whose balcony is it?  Whats the relationship between the person who lives there and the landscape?  You dont neccesarilly need to show the person, objects can help tell the story too.  Heres a not so good sketch I did just for ideas.

Wow r1k...such badass sketch...Based on that I am trying to add something like that and show the sense of depth between the two views; scenery and balcony.

Here's my update:
