Hi, I'm a new member here and haven't been pixeling seriously for all that long. I'm looking for some help on this in-progress tree trunk sprite thing.

I've limited myself to a pallet of 4 colors, and I guess I'm concerned about how the tree is being expressed in regards to texture and shading. Thanks for the look.

Hi alfanzo, Welcome! I think the texture is quite nice, but the shape of the tree is not. If it were not for the texture, it would look as if these are a few streams from an industrial pudding machine dropping down on the floor. They are soo straight and smooth! Have a look at what the bark of real trees does!

Haha, yeah, I get what you mean. I was trying to aim for a simple, sort of childish shape; I went too simple. Let me see what I can do. Thank you for the help!
