Ok... I dunno why are people getting the idea of depicting orcs eating XD
Anyways, I decided to depict 3 unicorns break-dancing in a disco room with just 8 colors (and in blue). They have weird poses though...
This is what I have so far:
One unicorn down, two more to go as well as the entire room, the radio and the disco ball. The black lines are just "helper lines", meaning the entire image is gonna be lineless. Also, I'm working with a single layer here, so if it needs changes, there might be problems with doing that...

Last supper is too obvious.
To make it work one will have to draw it really greatly. Otherwise it will look just like a bad parody.
here's my doodle. Maybe it is an obvious idea too.
UPDATE
trying to figure out the shades and shadows. It is harder than I thought. Don't mind their ugly heads - these are just placeholders.
There are too many colors already so I will definitely optimize my palette later.
UPDATE2
tried to texturize them a bit to see how they *could* look. It will take forever to fix all shape problems and polish every dragon here. I am also kinda unhappy with colors.
I am actually considering abandoning this piece 'cause it seems to be beyond my skill level.
UPD3
This looks so much better with x2 size. So I will most likely upload a prescaled version when it is done.

the chance of finishing this during the christmas week after blowing both the desert level and the doom challenge is near-zero, but figured I'd join the thread for the off chance of some motivationz. Currently 2 orcs cooking, but the intention is to have a third and fourth orc in the shadows to the left. only 9 colors at the moment, so I might reclaim that yellow and reddish-tan, though the intention from the beginning is single-ramp. trying to get a bit of that old germanic flavor that often gets swept aside when dealing with orcs.
edit - orc 'frau' and hog butchering sketched out (no new elements should be added.)
edit - updates to composition, earz and teethz, small additions like the shoulder-strap on the cooking shield and things for the wife to be prepping.

So much orcs and food!
@Adarias: Looks great! I love art that shows the non-axe-swinging side of orcs. Though the face of the kneeling (?) orc looks perhaps too human for me. With the ear only being slightly pointy, I wouldn't recognise it as an orc unless I saw the name of the piece.
@Muxaun: Flying dragon spaghetti monster? It's nice to see some christmas parody in a christmas challenge, IMO. Keeps us grounded! Not sure what they're doing though.
@Skeddle: Last supper came to mind for me as well. I agree with Muxaun. I like the sketches though.
@Eggy: Great idea, and I love the blank, vacant expressions they have. Really makes it a lot funnier. But a bit more realistic anatomy would go a long way, unless you go in the completely opposite direction and draw them all like Gary Larson horses. Right now they're something in between, which is a bit odd to look at. It's going to be hard to find good references for unicorn breakdancing, but you should be able to find seperate limbs in the position you're looking for by googling some reference pictures. I also think they all need longer necks, especially the unicorn on the right.
@WhisperHeart: The first thing that came to mind was a naked woman in bondage ropes, about to be eaten? I worry for your mental health.

I guess no, unless they are zombie-unicorns or something like this.

watch out for pillow shading. Especially on the stomach.

ok I will, but if I remove it, it will look too empty and I don't want to use more colores just to fill the belly

Found this site yesterday and after reading through the tutorials I realized I was doing pillow shading for pixel art.
I ended up using 6 colors which is 100 times less than I would have two days ago. It is simple but I am happy with it lol. When I started was expecting it to look a lot worse.
I did two slime sleeping. I was not sure how a slime sleeping would look so I did one asleep and one awake.

It looks pretty good to me, Skeddles. Although I can't quite figure out the direction of the light. If it was closer to us, then I'd expect the arm of the dragon on the left to have some light on it. If it was further away from us, then I'd expect the tail in the upper left to have a bit more light. If it's directly to the right, then perhaps a little more light on both.
Anyway, very nice strt. Cute dragons. Like baby dragon sea otters.

First time trying a challenge... EEK!
Here's where I'm at with mine. Two Jiang Shis Watching TV.
Sketch and current:

Note: In case it wasn't obvious, I didn't realize that I was starting so close to the deadline - whoops. I will probably still work on the piece, but it won't be ready for the challenge.
