There has to be a way to disable it. If there isn't, I'll stick with the old version of FF.

What a nightmare.

Hawken, I know you use both Macs/PCs.
I just checked and found no new Mac update for Firefox, so I assume you mean the PC version. If so, fair warning has been given to all.

Latest is v 1.0.6 Mozilla/5.0 (Macintosh; U; PPC Mac OS X Mach-O; en-US; rv:1.7.10)
Gecko/20050716 Firefox/1.0.6

1.0.7 and 1.5.0.1  are on  Mac  too.

Friend of mine's been trying get more information about this from a firefox support channel or something and he says they don't know anything bout this as of yet but wondered what specific version Hawken was using when taking that shot.  As of right now 1.5.0.1 is the official released one and it doesn't do anything like that on my PC or my friends computers I've asked too.  Anything higher I presume is a WIP build which you shouldn't be using for general usage anyway.

I'm using 1.5.0.1 on my laptop, and re-sizeing images works fine.

Another reason to stick with Avant.
Opera might be better in everything, but has an interface designed to leave space open at 320x240.

FF doesnt seems that great.

i find firefox to be incredibly slow on my mac compared to safari. i
think i have opera and IE tucked away somwhere, rotting
where they should.

i might install FF on my pc later see how it looks, but i only had it to
comment on pj gallery. if you use mac use safari!

right I've done a bit of looking into this.

Turns out it's the same deal for IE, FF and Safari on the MAC. Basically it's the mac...

Not much that can be done about that then.

Safari doesn't do colours as well as FF (24/32bit png support is whack)

I agree about the colors on Safari, I thought it was my eyes at first but tested it and its true. Take note of this Shark.
