Speedy - Try making the head bigger? Babies have a serious big head syndrome. Also if you are going for realism I'd suggest plumping him up. Babies are lil' fat blobs. 
I always go to anatomy reference if I need help. edit: you don't have to do a full body, if you're just learning especially it might be more approachable to concentrate on a portrait or such. Even most of these veteran artists here aren't trying to do an entire person and can put more into the faces they are making. |

It is still a bit messy.. I think it could use some refining imho. Especially the green stuff on his cheeks. @DatMuffinGuy That's too awesome for PJ to handle. The people here aren't ready for that yet :P @peyton Nice to see you participating in this challenge seeing how you're really good with faces. Looking pretty great so far. @Haam There are a lot of brighter shades you're not utilizing, makes the face hard to read. The red around the mouth also reads a bit like a fu manchu to me atm Some really solid entries in here :) edit: @Adrawingman I can give you this

It's- it's gorgeous! (slightly creepy looking since the eyes line up O_O). Someone please do Lee Van Cleef, someone please do Lee Van Cleef, someone plea... @showtime Bill Murray unless I'm mistaken? @Nutcase I can't really offer much of an opinion but I think those wrinkles above his right eye look a little funny Here's a new update, close to finishing it I think.

Interesting texture with the dithering. I think that the forehead should go up a bit more instead of being hill-like. Also, there's no real jawline and since he's being viewed from the side you should be able to see it clearly Here's a super fast and messy edit showing what I mean (perhaps the forehead shouldn't be THAT big but hopefully you get what I'm trying to say) 
Not sure if I should go with multiple color strands or only one. I'm not sure if I'm correct on would the first version be considered to contain Banding on the swirls?

I think his waste should extend more. Since his baby fat is pushing against his shorts they should expand a bit. It looks a bit weird since he's got kind of a big tummy but a tiny waist ;P His arms also look a bit chickenish, here's an edit I tried to make for you 
@DatMuffinMan It looks like RedRidingHood ;) @DeathByChris I love everything about that. UPDATED! He now looks like an old man! Still not done though, some tweaking on the ear is needed (any suggestions on the right ear would be really appreciated, I've tried lots of things but I can't seem to make it look right)

Gave him some texture, I was also fooling around with a background just for fun but I think I'm just going to keep it plain and simple ;P |

Thank you for the advice I knew it looked weird but my eye is not trained enough to see this yet ;-) Okay I changed it like you did but i kept the left arm I think now it looks like he is a bit twisted. One arm behind and the other a bit in front of him. I know the new hand is not that good i'll try to get this part better though there is enough time to work on it. Is there anything else I could do ? Maybe give him some icecream ...

Lookin' good! Love the icecream xD. One last suggestion that I have is to try to utilize more colors from the palette, such as the green. The arm also looks a bit like a crab claw so it could use some fingers. Here's a rough edit, feel free to edit this edit if you wish. 
The green may be best used on the pants imo, and maybe making the whole body a dark red may be a bad idea. Him having a tiny arm and a huge arm looks a bit weird imho. I do hope showtime writes a song about this palette though, it's really weird O_O |

Been watching these for a while. You guys can really put out some interesting results that are often times completely unexpected. Thought I'd attempt to join this week while I've got a few minutes to see if I could even do this. Here's my first shot at it. I definitely have a lot of room for improvement. But it's fun.

| Thanks ADrawingMan. Hopefully I get some time to add some more, especially with the BG. As for the challenge palette, I saved the original image of the color palette for the elderly person and sampled directly from there. Unless there's a different way to get the colors, as far as I know, I'm using the challenge palette for that image. |

SporkFuMaster - It's amazing how you managed to make this palette look so natural, looking forward to updates. This is what I came up with, hopefully I will have some time to work on it.

Looking good. I do think that the shading on the right side of the head should be pushed to the left even more tho. @SoraAkihiru Haha, he looks great! I thought he looked familiar ;D. The flowing beard looks spectacular! My only crit is that the glasses look off to me (I know the perspective is supposed to make them offset like that but it looks funny to me). |
