I made a commision for the 16 tons challenge, but it was lacking a lot, so I decided to make a second one trying to improve :P http://www.pixeljoint.com/pixelart/86407.htm - Old image
Tell me what to improve :)

It looks interesting, but atm I'm kind of confused to as what is going on. Is it meant to be a top down view?
I do however dig the colour palette a lot.

Imagine you are looking at something cut in halve: http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/d/d7/Granny_smith_and_cross_section.jpg - cut in halve apple

Ah, I saw that you were redoing the piece, I didn't realize you were still going with the actual cross section view, my bad.

I like the colors! I think to really get a "cross-section" feel, use more context clues like dangling vines to show where gravity is pointing. The overlapping dirt looks awesome, and it might be good to use it in more places. Finally, show the room receding backwards with perspective. It may be a cross-section, but space still exists! I look forward to see where this goes.

I like the original and this looks nice but it is hard to read atm.
