Now it`s time when I finally start something.

This is the very first step to shape things. In fact, I`m still selecting colours (that`s why the mushrooms have different ones).

Also I should move everything a bit to the right for the objects to overlap properly. But then I will have to invent something in order to make balance normal again, and this "something" must not attract all the attention...

That is to say, there is a lot of work here waiting to be done.

It may look like the lovechild of C-3PO and the http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-6ofrx47Y10U/TzavvnwJ7pI/AAAAAAAADuY/p3SNzvlulG0/s1600/2.jpg - smash potato robot but it's an underwater jouster in an armoured diving suit. Still really rough at the moment but this should be a really fun challenge.

Here's my first rough idea:

I love light, I love the beautiful ways plants and animals scatter and reflect it. I have one week. The pain begins now.

Here's what I'm seeing, I'd love to know what the 'artist' had in mind at the end of the competition. Trying to include as many lines from the original as possible

It's great to see all the different interpretations.

Having a bit of difficulty doing the folds in the blanket/duvet.

Changed what was going to be a black cat to a tiger, purely because of scale and I'm sure a three year old would draw a tiger.

Any suggestions on the face of the person should I deviate from the lines a bit or keep the cartoony elements?

This is beginning, and I'm very bad in a choice of colors

Looking good! The face does look a little ridiculous, but perhaps thats better off because this is a kid's drawing.

Keep up the good work, can't wait to see it finished.

@Felch, the blanket isn't really behaving like one. It's behaving more like he is under a giant wad of gum. Shade it firstly so it looks like a blanket, ie shadows towards the edge tabs of the blanket to bring them to the ground so it doesn't look like it is floating

Mine so far. Still working on the body and background, but the mask is pretty much done. C&C welcomed.

EDIT: Moving right along:

EDIT: Screw the detailed look, clean looks better anyway.

@Friend & Exquisious, thanks for your feedback, needs more work but looking a bit better. Goi9ng to have to pile the duvet up against the wall (with a bit if rounded folding) to see what the back bit should look like.

For the head I'm thinking of going for:

A major update on a bunch of stuff, it still needs a lot of work though:

EDIT: I fixed a whole bunch of things, and I've emptied the second leaf before I start filling it in properly. I even brought the colour count down to sixteen!
