Would something like this pass the requirements?

I'm not very familiarized with the following expression: "...in an otherwise rightside up image."

What is it mean?

@Siikikala - that's an excellent take on the theme.

In a normal or regular or typical image. So just include an upside down element in your picture.

I've understood something like this...

This side: OLD ________This side: YOUNG

@moondrome
nice idea! I think the diver should be tipped over a bit more since she has fallen that far, now it looks like she's about to hit the edge of the pool.

A terrible accident has turned a ship upside down, but this couple of passengers seems to be unaware of the danger...

Not necessarily. Just a scene with an upside down thing in it. Like a bat hanging from a branch or a room with all the paintings turned upside down or something.

I did a couple of alternative versions...

I just realized it's a woman and diving board and not a nosediving plane.

You should animate that moondrome. otherwise number 2 and 3 are the best... If you animate it making her do a double backflip into the planedive thingy would be epic!

@siikikala Wow! Loving the vibe of your piece, it has an amazing atmosphere and composition.
@moondrome I would recommend you to draw on a layer above your picture a trajectory of the girls fall, keeping in mind how gravitation works. Otherwise, great idea!

Not yet sure where I am going with mine but I hope it fits the requirements.

@jal: Looks like 3 blackbirds to me :o!

Also what about like a reflection in some water, the reflection would look upside down. Or is that bending the roolzz too much.

I don't know much about animation....13 frames. how many frames should I do to make it fluid?

Just done it:

Siikikala, that is looking really good already.

SoraAkihiru, also nice. It's simple, but I like the way you made the fishing line hang, it's very organic.

moondrome, less important than the number of frames is that the velocity/acceleration of the diver are consistent. There's a really fast jump near the start, then she slows down before she hits the water, then speeds up again just before righting and swimming up. It should follow a parabolic curve.

I'm not sure I like how this is looking...

I didn't know animation could be so fun and addictive....

Otto, I really like your idea! Very Rene Magritte somehow. I think your composition would benefit greatly if you made the lighting more dramatic, as that would draw the viewer's attention to the fact that the chandelier is on the "floor". Also, things are creepier when they are lit from below!

In case you are wondering I flipped your fish upside down because I thought it was supposed to be oriented that way, but then I realized I must have misunderstood which things are upside down and which ones aren't.

It still doesn't look like the dress is lit by the chandelier.
