A romantic comedy wouldn't be that hard either.

How much Tetris needed?
If it will be a one object in scene, it will be ok?

I've got a cool idea for this, but will absolutely not have any time to make it a reality. Sucks.

Hm, good question. At very least, it should be clear that it's a scene from a Tetris movie.

I called it "square madness"

A Film Noir drama set in Moscow. Inspired from the famous scene in "The big combo" (title that I am considering to steal for the purpose of this challenge...)

I have added cobblestones and two walls at the sides, for a more dramatic effect:

Looks awesome Otto.
Are the side walls Tetris pieces?

thanks!
The sides are supposed be just walls, I added them so that my image resembles to http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_Av6QbG3542M/TUY5_q_DR8I/AAAAAAAAANE/e9C0JBatKzA/s320/film%2Bnoir%2Bbig%2Bcombo.jpg - this.
(Although I've just realised that the wall in the left should be lighter, like in the reference)

Otto, I see. Without a top on the walls it will be a tough read and I think the viewer is more likely to see tetris blocks instead of some archway.
Again, its way cool and really nice to see you make something mid 20th century for a change :p

You're right with the walls, now I can`t unsee XD
Perhaps some architectural detail will make it clearer

There you go :)
Making bumps and irregular lines (a little bit) like the lighter column helps them not read as tetris blocks.

Did some rough value blocking for an idea. Inspired by the exodus bible story/ the new exodus movie coming out. Instead of a pyramid there's a giant tetris game being adjusted by slaves.

i also felt that film noir is a way to go for this challenge. Here's some WIPs. Got really ambitious, hopefully can make it work in time.

Suggestions welcome and appreciated!

Nope, did not have time. Oh well, I tried, and oh well, now I can finish it at a more leisurely pace and with less restrictions, since I don't have to fulfill the challenge rules.
