I'm in. This is going to be my first :)
The shape has a majoras mask vibe. However, I think I'm flipping this guy around to make a sumo!

I'm not sure I'll be able to finish this, but at least I'll give it a try!

(in case that you are wondering, the woman in the right is supposed to be holding a broom)

By the way, I don't want to be a nitpicker, but the top of the heart like shape is supposed to be like 2 (image below) not like 1.

Other than that your drawings are great

Noticed the same in both tomic and tarius pieces:

totally weird - seems that in both grafx2 and irfanview the template has "our" shape there, but web and photoshop show 2 more pixels

i'll check that deeper when i'm home. maybe there where 2 blacks in the palette or something..

edit: template has an alpha-channel which slightly differs to the placed pixels (2 pixels in the gap on the top + 3 pixels on the bottom-bobble).

so if you open the picture in an enviroment, which uses the alpha as transparency (like photoshop or the browser) you get an different fractal compared to opening it in an (8 bit-) enviroment, like grafx2, which simply loads the placed pixels. i stick with the pixels :)

I'm new, friends.. just wondering.. can submisisons / pixel art on this site be edited / altered photos ? Or do they always have to be strictly hand-drawn? I'm doiong 8 colors pixel art but starting off w/ pix I took. Thanks for any replies. <3 Love the art I'm seeing - so inspired, and learning so much here & via tuts. I'm open to tips !

Hello! Back from a year with no personal internet connection. Eager to return to my PJ activities. For this challenge I'm workin on this

I'm aiming for a water temple-ish piece. Hopefully (if I have extra time) I'll animate it. The bottom part is supposed to be some sort of jewel. Any advice is welcome.

The short answer is pixels in PJ are hand made.
While there are different takes on pixelart the PJ gallery focuses on control on the pixel level and even though you use your own images (skirting any plagiarism issues which is great) this entry you show and the other two you had also submitted rely far too much on the CGd reduction as the base.
All these issues have been discussed and can be found in the forum. If you have not already seen the stickied posts in the link in my sig, they should be helpful and answer some questions you may have.
Asking questions here is always welcomed and don't be shy to ask away.

I'm terrible at this, but I tried. Won't post it to the gallery, for obvious reasons :P

Don't be silly. Practice and confidence is the best thing to combat 'terrible'which you are not.

It's really hard to describe my actual vision. Two guys being sucked into some kind of vacuum cleaner (right one pooped his pants). It would've had some visual effects to blank errors in perspective, but... Btw that face is perfect as it is.

Other idea I had in my mind:

That can read well too if you have the guys being inflated by something.
