tried more with Shading Roof

1st try? if so.. nice. you got quite a bit of detail in there, thats good.

however, the colours are very bright, as in saturated. try to make them hang a bit more towards green 60%(photoshop) 150(mspaint) saturation should work ok i think

and the think lacks shading, pick a lightsource and put shadows on the house, mainly on the roof. i think if you were to make the ''backside'' of the roof and the 2 triangles darker it'd help some

and i'd put some interesting things in the windows

I'm a beginner in pixel art, but I will give you my advice as a "spectator"

There's something strange with your house. The roof looks like in 3D whereas the other part is in a flat 2D.

You should make it fully in iso, it would make it more realistic. Maybe some more texturing on the wall and the window.

The Reason its looks like that is Im trying to copy the old skool Final Fansty style.

I dont use Photoshop and yes its my 1st attempt. Ill darken the colors and see what happens.

Also I do have photoshop I find with all its plugins it is so tempting to use them.

My 1st attempt with a person using photoshop.

 Nonono don't use photoshop toolshading!

Use paint or some other program, or fix up photoshop for pixel art (however you do that).

On the house the back side of the roof is slighlty darker and so is the triangle.

as for the brick hallway there is no shding at all and it was done in Mspaint completly.

Sorry I am new to this and trying to do figure out how shading is done.

Click on 1st house and 2nd one, then you can see the differnce (Should I go darker?)

Also just did a mortal and pastle  advice on this?

P.S. Sorry for all the post.I'm happy to have found this site, not much on the net to help a kid like myself learn, and any advice is more then welcome and I am greatful for all the help.Now  if I can find a good guide to drawing game people ^_^

Shading has eluded me thus far I have only about 2-3 weeks experence with pixel art so an C and C is welcomed.

Also im not the best Color chooser, if anyone knows a good place for metal color tones let me know I mainly need color sets for Iron,copper,steel,bronze.

I wont be around after 4 Pm today, but will be adding more to this Starting on Monday, Please tell me how to fix My art.

Also Im having problems making a Hoe and Rake, if anyone care to explain how I can make them Please do ;)

P.S Desription of Game

This project is going to be large.the game will be based on Mid-Evil times.

There will be 4 starting races.

Orc
Elf
Human
Dwarf

In return also 4 starting towns,each town will be in a proverence that is ruled by who ever owns the castle (npcs to start with).As long as the castle is held by NPC's there will be 10% taxes in play,but once owned by a clan taxes can be lowered to 0% or Rasied to 50%.

There will be no Class sets, players will instead take on jobs.And learn the skills needed for that profession.(but this doeasnt limit a player to learn other jobs or trades)

Players will have full feedom of charater development, and can choose the way they wish to play.

Players will be able to purches land from the kingdom, and with there skills,be able to build object such as houses on there land.

Clans can be started and joined by players and as they grow they will have to do quest to advance there clan.Once they have become a level 3 clan they will be able to war other clans and attempt to take strongholds or castles.At level 5 they can create an alliance.

Each race will have its own language and unless you have taken the time to learn that language you will not understand the other races.

The magic system will involve a unquie apporach,where gemstones will be the primary source of power for the spell.
example,an amulet with a ruby in it can be charged by a wizard with the spell fireball, and then giving to someone who is magicaly challenge(orc and dwarfs due to there lower int,men,and wis stats),and then they will be able to cast that spell till the charges are gone from the amulet.
Note powerful wizards dont need gemstone to cast there spells the have the mental power to do so.

A thief system will allow people to rob homes of players or steal from NPC stalls.But picking a lock of a players home may no be the only thing stoping you from entering, Wards can also be placed on door ways that must be broken with the use of magic.

Stores will be stocked by the local NPC's,or by Players,so your town will not flourish if you do not help it to.If a store runs low on a supplie and the Blacksmith is burden to badly to create the needed items, then the store will not be fully stocked,(but the black smith will ask for you to gather supplies needed for him to create the needed items, and offer a wage) also in turn anything you sell to the shop will be sold by the shop.

This is a quick desription of what the game will be.

P.S I notice lots of views but not much C&C. well hope there is more by monday.

Oh also, No leeching my graphics I know there poor quilty but im here to learn to improve them, I could of been like the 1000s of other people who rip art to use for there game, but I dont see a point to rip it, when you can learn to create it.
