Greetings! I'm developing a game, and I would love some feedback on how it looks. I haven't gotten any critic or feedback yet,
so I would love to hear what more talented pixel artists think about these pieces. It is far from done, but I've mostly landed on these three sprites at least.
Can you see what it is? Should I up the sizes a bit?
Do you think it would look better with more inbetweens?
(The blue guy is a squid, the orange ones are shrimp, and the homing things are puffer fish).

Why did you ask if we can tell what it is then give the answer? The squid you can tell, the shrimp and puffer, not so much.
This would look better both bigger and with more frames. The movement would be smoother, obviously, and the tentacles on the squid could be longer, like a real squid.
The puffer fish looks like it is flapping wings but the face looks right.

Yeah, I was dumb. I was wondering for a while there if I should leave in the sentence, and decided to leave it in in case it would increase my chances for feedback.
I appreciate the tips, I'll look into it asap! :)

Before you go making the sprites bigger decide if that is what you actually want.
They would look more like what they are supposed to be but you might want a really low res style.
Players would probably figure out what they are supposed to be.

I think that the size is fine, but it could definitely benefit from additional animation frames, especially on the squid.
