Hi, so recently I got this idea of a game. I have no problem programming it, the hard part is the art.
until now I have mostly drawn in black and white. So pixel art might not be great for me, but I really want my game to look good in pixel art style. the resolution of the screen will be 240 pixels high (if this is not a good idea, please let me know). So I m posting here the first item I made. it s a big thing. you ll probably be able to tell I m not good with colors, so please let me know what I m doing wrong.

Well, it's hard to help you right now. You have to tell us what your game is about and which gameplay you want to put, then we might be able to advise you... |

If we're only talking about pixel art and not games, I'd say that you need to clean your piece, and start to polish it.
Make simple clusters that look good, then add AA when you have the need to smooth them. Add colors or dither if you want more depth, the choice depends on your style. Try an outline to render it better on the small canvas. Colors can be fixed anytime, If you're more experienced with B/W use it and then color. It's a trick that many artists use. |

Hi, so that is just an element from the background. those needs to be randomly generated. the background is a mad scientist/ creepy lab. I will make several layer of background and this particular item should be in the front background layer.
I will edit it today and post it again, like Daruda said it needs cleaning. i m not sure about the outline though. I ll try anyway. |
