Howdy all, i saw some really really cool images a couple of days ago, and decided to have a go at something like it.  I dunno what style this is, but I think im alowed to post it here.
I made the image using the brush, smudge, and burn tools (and a pattern).  Im not sure if this is the way to do it though.

Please, crit.  Also if needed correct me on the way im making this, if im doing it wrong please say so

Umm, well.. this isn't really pixel art...

It's more just CG...

RULE #1: Label non pixel art topics with NPA

We've eliminated the "Other Art" section so if you want to post your non pixel art you can do it here, BUT please make sure if you are posting non pixel art in this section that you label it NPA which stands for Non Pixel Art.

Example topics...

  • Horse scene  <--- Pixel art
  • NPA: Painting of my cat   <--- Non pixel art
  • NPA: Sketch of yer mama  <--- Non pixel art
  • New dog piece <--- Pixel art

Make sense? If it does not make sense consult a physician immediately. Why did we eliminate "Other Art"?  Because it was getting very little use and it's nice having fewer sections.

I'm too lazy to write more rules right now... everyone has been pretty cool on the forum so far so there's no real need to be hardcore with the rules.

Just so you'd know

I've never seen a tree stump jut out like it's doing in your picture. Getting rid of that prism like piece of the trunk would help it a lot. It's also too soft. It's been broken, make those edges sharper. Actually, I'd like to see just about everything in the picture sharper. The grass is rounded, the shading on the tree makes it look bevelled more than rough, the top of the trunk looks more like wax in a lava lamp than split wood...

Also, the gray outline seperating the grass and trunk doesn't look good at all.
