As you can probably tell, the styles are a bit f**ked up right now although I do like the gray better than the orange monster.
I purchased a license for the forum tonight so I plan on modifying the forum much more now that I won't be violating the freeware license.

Hmm... none of the pop-up windows seem to work for me anymore. Like the smilies, hyperlink or preview window. They work fine in Internet Explorer but not in Firefox. And it's not my popup blocker either.

To me it is as well. Like a punch in the face. I don't really mind what it is as long as it isn't so jarring.

Why is there a f**king advertisement in my signature line? Argh, this forum needs a lot of work.
I will work on simplifying the CSS so themes can easily be made/applied for the forum. The only problem is that there are so many images on the site.
Oh yeah, sorry to all admins and non-admins for the private Mod section being open to all. Quite an upgrade bug.

Definiton for SCAMP on urban dictionary:
1) Yet another word for a bowel movement. Used by a small group of octogenarians from mid-Mississippi.
2) An insult nickname for a male with bad cleanliness in the bell end
region, caused by not cleaning under the foreskin leading to a fishy or
cheesy odour
(scampet)a person with scamp.
ON-TOPIC: The emotes/links/image buttons on the WYSIWYG thingy work
fine when "quoting" a previous post. They do not work when making a new
post. All the other ones do.

I too vote for the default theme of the main page to be applied to the forum.
The current red text on gray background is very hard to read for me and makes my eyes bleed. :(

The old forum was wayyyyyyy better. Everything is soo hard to read here.
Jalonso (scampet of 2006 as he is now known) agrees with me about this. I am not being ungrateful for the upgrade - but was it really neccesary? I think a dark red/purple and white forum would look nice.

There were a number of reasons for converting the forum besides the design (which is temporary).
I'm working on matching the forum to the default style right now... if you are interested in changing the look of the forum http://www.pixeljoint.com/pixels/profile_themes.asp - you can create a PJ theme and it will eventually be converted to work on the forum as well.

I don't know if this is the place for it? Maybe all these bugs are
already known and may not be needed. I will post any wierd forum
behavior for the admins to be aware of just in case. These will be on
the MACOS.
1- When you change your sig, the "preview sig" option does not work at all. The popup window works but there is nothing to see.
2- Avvys keep disappearing (must go back to main site change avvy and change back)

I dont have a proble with grey it lets the images stand out but some of the text is hard to read ( not enough contrast)
The orange buttons are pretty neat with the grey but the black text needs to be white or a bright color, either that or the grey needs to be lightened. The red text is hard to read as well.

On my monitor the only thing i cant see well is the orange upon the grey.
I'd like to have slightly different shades for alternating posts again, and i like the idea of having the same skins as the main site, it would keep everything whole. :)

The old orange one was definately better.
Is there any possible way to choose skins for the forum, like I can do in a gallery? I use that brown chocolate theme. Green is now just... a bit plain, makes me feel like I sit in a modern day plain office.

FYI - Mac related update issue #649
Most java, popup window do not work throughout the forum. Some do so
its not my set-up. Mostly these are noticed in the settings, PMs and
help sections.
EDIT: Today I noticed that the buttons that were below the sigs are now
a drop down menu on the member's handle. I think they were much better
as they were. Unless you know where they are now, PMs, the gallery and
profile will go unnoticed by most.

This system does not work. Themes don't work, every time I visit forums, theme is switched back to default. And it always automatically logs out from the gallery. Something is messed up here.
Cookies should be enabled, since they have always worked and I haven't touched them.
-------------
|
Posted By: sedgemonkey

Themes are just stored as a cookie on the gallery site so if you clear your cookies and visit the forum before the gallery the theme will not be working. I will work on fixing this soon.
@jalonso: I'll look into how the popup code works -- maybe there's something quick I can fix.
As for the lack of "profile buttons" in a thread... I see your point about it not being obvious and I'm open to suggestions on how to fix that, but I would prefer to leave the mess of buttons out if possible.
@Ensellitis: I will fix the color bug.

More observations:
I am so happy the link/image/emotes work now . The character button is awesome too. I can finally copyright all my comments
I will mention that unlike the older version that automatically deleted
the "http://" when placing a link. This new version does not, yet has a
side thingy with the "http://" prefix preset. It took me a minute to
figure out that you must remove it yourself when linking from
Photobucket. I'm all for progress but this seems a step back.
EDIT: Other observations: I tried to make some copy in a very light
grey color on one thread and scaled an emote to 2x in another,
something we all do around here for emphasis. Neither took effect on
the post.

Colors are not working? Doubling the size of these doesn't work either? (testing)
Edit: Well, at least colors appear to be working.
I will work on adding a script to remove the extra "http://" from the link popup.

Bug Report #367
I posted a comment with colored type using a theme other than the
default. The copy showed up as just grey. I always use themes other
than the default so I thought it was this new forum. Someone mentioned
the colorful type so its just me. I changed to the default theme and
everything works/looks perfectly? It's default I guess.

Ok, it starts to piss me off now. Why the heck text has to be almost the same colour as the background? And if the sun is anywhere around me, I can't see the text on the screen at all. And don't tell me to turn my contrast bigger or monitor brighter, it is as it should be, normal.
For example, I have this blue-type background, the buttons are orange. Why cant text be orange or something, why does it have to be that blueish colour?
Oh, and that brown theme can remane the same. Just that blue theme needs some touches.
And sorry about being so rude...
EDIT:
Oh, and one more thing. Today, browsing at the gallery, i found a bug. It seems that wen you zoom the image in firefox so much that it doesn't fit into the screen anymore, all things get twisted up, + - buttons are half dissapeared etc. See for yourself: http://img136.imageshack.us/img136/5601/untitledei4.jpg
