Gameboy version:

My first pixel art is a little still life with a pill box, hand sanitizer, and a tissue box. I made this to learn and picked items with different textures. The first version used the Gameboy palette as many tutorials recommend, then I added color. Pixel art has so many new difficulties like anti-aliasing and avoiding banding, and I am not confident in identifying good and bad examples yet. Also, creating contrast and a vibrant color palette has always been my weakpoint in traditional art, and pixel art turns the difficulty up to 11.

My goal is to use pixel art in a Ren'Py visual novel. Some of those Japanese DOS and Win-98 VNs are so lovely and vibrant with such a small palette and canvas, and I would love to make something similar.

It would help a lot if you look over my pixels and colors for me! Pixel Joint has so many users with such a great eye for mistakes and successes.
