I am not sure if I should tilt his hands and the sword in a pose on the right (front view), so that they correspond to the pose on the left (side view). Do you have some ideas about this? And also do you know how should the hands move in the walk animation, if he's kinda.. dragging this sword with effort just like in this animation below?

Hi Owlmoss! Looking great so far. Would you mind showing me the camera perspective for the game this guy will be used in? I can't tell if this is a side scroller or a top down. (I would assume it's most likely top down since he has an angle facing the camera).

So far the hands don't seem to be an issue. -- Personally when I animate, I focus on the main elements of the animation, rather than the fine details. A lot of times you can spend too much time on things like fingers/toes that don't really make much of a difference. Focus on very strong silhouette's while animating. Powerful motions that really accentuate the movement you're going for.
