Hello guys,

I'm in the process of getting some sprites together for a future project. I'd like to start off by demonstrating a bruiser tier character. So far I have a stun and walking animation done for him that I'd really appreciate getting feed back on. Furthermore, any additional comments with regards to the pixel art itself is strongly encouraged. I am going for a relatively square style with my characters, but I'm sure you guys will pick up on some stuff that isn't working. At the moment I am aware of the short, cutoff belt tapestry for the stun. I'm thinking I might have to make an adjustment to the walking animation first... you guys can let me know what you think.

Thanks in advance!

1. You don't need to resize them. Left clicking picture auto-resizes it.
2. That confusion animation would look more natural, if whole body moves, not just the torso.
3. Walk cycle looks incorrect, like he is grabbing the earth with his foot, instead of falling on it. Google walk cycle tutorials, there are countless of them.
4. Far hand and leg could be less contrast (i.e. desaturated, darker color), that would make any animation with them more readable.
5. Sword could be more shiny and contrast.

Thanks, I'll follow up within the next week with some changes.

1. Thanks, I'll keep that in mind!
2. I'll add some movement to the legs.
3. I used a variety of different references for the walk cycle and I feel this may have affected the end result.
4. So I'll try to use a different color, I'm keen on not going over my color count.
5. Should the sheen reflection be based on the swords position or can I keep that in one specific spot?

4. you don't need additional color. Just use darker shade.
5. your sword is gray, like stone, and it has black line going through it. google reference swords and see what colors are they and how speculars behave. Real swords have very pronounced speculars.
