Hello!
I'm trying to create a sprite for a main character for a project I'd like to create. But dang if I can't get this main character to look right. My first version:

I'm going for an anime aesthetic. Please give me any advice. Be critical; tear my work to shreds, draw red lines over everything, and make me cry. I'm willing to completely revise the hairstyle and the outfit; I drew out several versions and this is just what I felt made the easiest transition to pixel art. So I'm open to suggestions that revise the design. |

What I think you missed to look like an anime is an eyebrow, because the eye size is fit already. For bonus note : apply lighting source to make it more beautiful rather than a normal coloring, I believe you can easily find a tutorial about it ;) Sorry I can't post some examples image of mine for this, once I got home, I'll post it! <3 |
