Hello!

Any input is appreciated. I started this one yesterday. It's a plant sitting on my kitchen's window. I am not looking at the plant or pictures of it for reference, because I wanted to challenge my memory :D

Thank you!

Sorry! I honestly thought it had uploaded properly. It's kind of weird uploading images here. I tried but the best I could do was post the link to imgur where the image is.

Thank you!

Your image URL is broken, too. Use the URL of the image itself, the one that ends in .png or .gif. The image tag can't display non-images.

The leaves definitely need some more shading and detail, even with the more simplified/cartoony look you seem to be going for.

Thanks! The plant is a succulent. Its leaves are very dull, no texture to them. I do want them to look better so I'll try to play around with some dithering maybe. Thanks for the input!

Some times you gotta add a little something, even if it doesn't look that way in real life, to make it more fun right? :D

For shading the leaves, I would try a more cel-shaded style, since they leaves have a very smooth, almost rubber texture.

It looks like you just stopped highlighting the vines partway up. The highlights on the lower parts fit since the picture has a lot of dithering, but it looks strange with most of the vine just being a black outline. Just removing the black line from the lighted side like you did on some of the vines might work.

Lastly, the lighting isn't consistent on the pot. The rim is lit from the top-right, but the base part looks lit from the bottom right.
